Iwas kinda thinking the same thing about using 3.5in oval tubing on the exhaust, but as of right now i'm using 3in from the flange back.
I'm using slip fittings on the WG instead of bolting it solid between the DP and inlet. You think if i used one of those stainless flex couplers on the DP, that would work to give the exhaust some movement?

I finally got a chance to go out and do some tuning @ 10psi last night but i'm running into a slight problem now I can't seem to get the tires to stay planted in any gear below 4th This thing is gonna be impossible to street tune on 14psi.

i was thinking you would want a 3.5-4.0" DP or aproprate area.

ya a flex section or just some slip fit and clamps would allow enough movement so your stuff wount crack later.

MYTURBOT/A....did you have to relocate the radiator or anything to fit it all in there? Nice BTW.

Yep, i had to notch the upper rad support almost 3in and tilt the radiator up to get enough room to clear the compressor housing.
I should be getting it on the dyno here soon. I finally broke down and bought a wide band and alky injection kit. Got the W/B installed, and once i get the alky installed and dialed in i'll pull it on the rollers and see what i can break.

about time you got the updates posted on here.

what size primaries did you use? did you use the 2001+ headers as well (remind my memory)

how much power is that Gt45 good for?

good luck with the dyno we are all eager of your results, any trips to the track planned?

GT45 is good for about 1000 crank hp. Only problem with the unit is the massive 1.05 A/R and the turbine wheel is almost as large as a T88. Unfortunately MP does not offer anything smaller then a 1.05 A/R housing.

Haha, yea I've been out of town for 2 weeks so i haven't had a chance to check my threads, sorry.
I'm using a set of 2000 manifolds dumping into 2.5in piping off the manifolds then Y'ing into 3in piping that goes all the way into the turbo.
I just drove the car from orlando FL. all the way to southern MN. to see family. Didn't use a drop of oil and got 27mpg. I was pretty impressed. But when i got back in town the next day I took it out and got on it real hard and broke the TQ arm mount. It sheered the bolts off the tail of the tranny.
Kinda funny considering after the first time i broke a tranny mount and about craped my pants. I ran a cable over top of the tranny and bolted each end to the crossmember to hold the tranny down incase i ever broke another mount.
So instead it just breaks somthing else. But anyway I just drilled out the bracket and put some new bolts in.

That thing sounds nasty!! You turbo guys have all the fun!! Im anxious to hear what that thing puts down once it is dialed in. Are you using alky instead of an intercooler currently??? Do you have plans for an intercooler later on??

Do you have any pics of how it hooks up into the turbo? And where it came from, like where you located the y and how you ran the pipes. Thanks just trying to get some ideas.

Just so the Master Power guys know, they do make a .94 A/R housing, but i heard they are to hard to come by. I also heard they have a housing larger than the 1.05, but i forget what the exact size was.

I really wish i could find one of those .94 A/r's but so far everybody has told me that the only one offered with the GT45 is the 1.05, spool isn't to bad anyway I reach full boost around the same time as the other big turbo guys in my area. 4000rpm.
So far i'm very happy with the turbo for the price it can't be beat IMO. There are some pics in one of my threads of all the piping and everything installed on the car i'll see if i can dig them up.

Haven't really had any problems with the kit itself, it's just been the supporting mods. I was all setup to dyno last weekend and then my clutch started acting up again, this is the second spec stg3 that won't hold so it looks like i'll be stepping up to the 3i see if that holds. I'll try my best to answer and questions you have, that's what this is all about helpin a brother out.

Thanks Carter, my Thanksgiving was good, hope yours was also.
