Default New kit pretty much done.

Well I finished bolting everything up last night and fired her up for the first time in about 2 months. After letting it sit and idle for a half hour or so to make sure it wasn't gonna over heat I took it out for some testing

The car runs great, no more lugging when taking of from a light. Drivability is great and it feels like i picked up a ton of power P/T.

Spool up ain't to bad rolling onto the throttle i start building boost around 2700rpm, by 3000rpm i'm seeing 5-6psi and 8psi by 3700rpm. I have the boost set at 8psi right now until I get all the bugs worked out, but with the way it feels at 8psi I can already tell this thing is gonna scream at 13psi.

First thing i notice when I started it with the open exhaust is the larger exhaust wheel on the MP gt45 makes alot more of a howling noise then the wheel on the 76 i don't know if it's because of the larger size or because the exhaust has almost no restriction. But either way it sounds bad ***.

I'll post up some pics of the finished product when I get home tonight.

where are them pics.
absolutly no patience for pics.

ekk though that turbo must be big if you dont get full boost by 3700rpm. you better make some big power to make up for it.
are you going back to the T76 or just gonna keep you MP turbo?

Awesome man! Post up some more pics and get that thing to a dyno. I need to decide if I want to go with that turbo as there is another GP on them right now.

Yea, i'm not to impressed with spool up but that's right about where the 76 spooled on my old kit plus I figure with the 3in intake piping that's probly eating up some of the spool up, as i'm sure the 3.5in exhaust wheel don't help any either. I'll get some pics up ASAP and i'm hoping to dyno Thurs. or Fri.

I'm real interested to find out if they make a smaller A/R housing for the 45. with the size of wheel it has I should be able to get away with a .86 A/R or somthing in that range instead of the huge 1.05.

From what i've seen so far that's the only A/R availible for now. But it is huge. My HP graph is gonna look like a supra.

Well here are some pics. kinda hard to get a clear pic with all the crap in the way. Still need a few reducers and the air filter assembly then it's finished.

the T76 is 8.25 in diameter on the compressor housing and 9.5in total length from the inlet snout to the discharge flange.

what size is your downpipe?
if you had the ground clearance im sure you could benifit from a larger one.

it also may have benifited you if after the down pipe you used slip fittings as this will allow movement for when you engine torques.

Looks good! You could always use oval tubing to get a bigger pipe underneath that K-member.
