Default Boost + Spray

Hi, I am currently boosting 10psi on a forged motor and am thinking of throwing a TNT Wet 50-75shot on top of it. I just want to hear peoples opinions on doing this. I tried searching but couldnt find any old posts dealing with boost + wet shot....

Any comments?

Mainly doing this for launching and I know boost and spray work well together.

Thanks

it works well but you need to keep in mind that if you spray 50shot it almost doubles the hp so instead of 50 it would be closer to a 100 shot, also if you plan on competing nitrous + boost puts you in double poweradder class which is a very fast class

I personally think it works great. It keeps the IAT very low and makes the car more consistant. I am using a dry 30 shot.

What type of fuel pressure on your N20 system. If you are using low pressure fuel it will not work. This can do serious engine damage.

I'm planning on doing this as well. I'm looking at a car that is supercharged with a 6psi Vortech right now. Are you guys that are running low (i.e. a 50 or 75 shot) dry shots seeing any A/F problems? I'm thinking wet will be the way to go but it seems like overkill for such a small shot.

Yes I have done a 10.5psi on a 346 stock motor w/ a dual dry shot 25hp each. Was good for 87hp!

New setup built 348ci 12psi and dual wet shots 100hp and 50hp! the fuel system I have will handle it and the motor should! So plans are 600-650rwhp on turbos and then the juice say ?750-800? Don't know yet!

Keep in mind the biggest problem is timming as pulling out timming for the NOS with hurt the boosted motor when not on the spray! A catch 22.....

My Acell DFI Gen7 solved that nicely!

What kind of fuel pressure do you run on the N2O system? Is it boost referenced?

I think what 427 was trying to point out is, when a boost ref. fuel pressure regulater is used fuel pressure is raised when boost is applied. The problem with that is the nitrous system is jetted for a specific fuel pressure(weither it be base or full fuel pressure under boost). So if you jetted the nitrous for base fuel pressure it would be rich as fuel pressure is added. If the nitrous system is jetted for your max fuel pressure reached it would be lean until that fuel pressure is reached. I am sure that Livernois is aware of that and has solved the problem for you though.

Well the tap for the nos lines in in the front of the rails and the return is in the back! The Acell will correct for all the little stuff through the WB! As that is what I read in the Manual?

i have seen some wet systems run low psi like 10psi...
point is if you spray 10psi fuel at 10psi boost you get 0 fuel added = dry shot.

But I have dual wet? I was going to run the Nos of the stock lines and pump that I could put back in the tank! But seemed like to much work! The Acell with correct for A/F and turn NOS on and off so will see what happens!
