Ed or anyone who reads this. Loose your 6 rib set up! That is unless you are ok with not getting true performance out of your blower... You probably spent more than 3k on it > might as well get it to work???

I think I have started my party to soon... The tensioner pulley is a lot smaller than the others, is this correct? It's a 6 rib pulley and the others are 8 rib > is that right?

So far > it sucks! I drove about 5 miles and my belt has already torn to shreds. Not sure as to why? The alignment is probably off. The blower pulley was to big also and it was grinding into the bracket > so that's messed up too. I had to grind down the bracket and that was fixed > but now I can't drive my car again due to belt issues. I think it slipped off 90mm pulley. Back to spending more money.

Even though I'm not to happy right now > I'm sure after all is done I will be.

did you use all the spacers that they gave you?
how big of a blower pulley are you running?

How in the hell is the blower pulley rubbing the bracket? Take another look at the pics Kyle posted, it doesn't come close. I know I have some good clearance there and I have the Automotion steel bracket too. Your alignment is way off or you have/had the belt routed wrong. You shouldn't have to spend more money. The SDCE set up went in with no issues on a lot of other peoples cars. Yes, more $$ on a belt, but this seems to be a problem on your end. You did put the spacers between the standoffs and the bracket right? I used the two thick spacers on each standoff and I am having no wear issues at all. My belt looks factory fresh and I'm pushing 15 psi with mine. I know kyle used two thick spacers and a thin one, but I am unsure why. I tried the three spacers but my belt would jump over on the tensioner, so only 6ribs of the belt were on the tensioner pulley. I changed it back to only the two thick spacers and that problem went away for good.

I am not making fun of you or giving you a hard time. I want you to get this set up working as it kicks ***. Go over everything again, print out kyles pics and use them as a reference. I had some good clear pics of mine but I no longer host them as I am using the space for other pics and vids. You will get it figured out.

Maybe I used to many spacers > I used 3 > but that is what the directions said to do. Yes I did put them between the bracket and standoffs > I did use 3 big ones (.125). As far as this being my fault > your right it is. I just want to know what caused this to happen so I can fix it.The reason why I'm a bit unhappy is due to the very poor directions that came with the ($700) kit. If it wasn't for you guys (Kyle) I don't think I would have gotten this thing together. I'm sure if I would have called SDCE they would have helped > I believe they stand behind there product.

I would post some pics so this could make more sense > how do I do that?
When I said this sucks > I didn't mean SDCE sucks > I ment "this" sucks (my situation) I want boost and I want it bad!!!!!

Yeah I understand how much it sucks when things go awry lol, I've had my fair share(I've had 3 different pulley set ups on the car )

To post a pic, just attach it to your post. Go to the "Go advanced" button on the lower right hand corner, then you will see a section in there that says "manage attachments" or something like that. Click on that and you will be able to upload pics from your computer to tech. You might have to resize them with your photo editing program(I use photoshop) because they have a file size limit of 100kb.

Yeah my directions were pretty shabby, but I was able to figure it out....just takes some head scratching. Looking up at the assembly from the bottom from the crank pulley the the s/c pulley you will be able to see the belt out of alignment, you can do this from the top too. The belt will look crooked. As for the spacers go back to two thick ones per stand off and see where that gets you. It worked for me best. But you can always try two thick and a thin one per stand off to see what happens too.

Also on the s/c itself there is a washer(thin rust colored one) under the s/c pulley itself, did you remove this one? I left mine on.

Its a lot of trial and error especially with something like this. SDCE is has excellent service, too bad its the weekend I am sure they would have got you on the road already. You are close tho, and big no slip boost is right there....just a few more tweaks.

I used 3 spacers because for some reason mt Steel bracket was rubing the belt edge as it came off the crank pulley towrds the blower pulley...... mine kinda rubbed on the bracket as it was going around the 90MM idler but that is all good now........ If you need more help just call me...... my phone is on me..... no problem with helping man.... i like it when other people get the stuff to work and are happy..... Boost just puts a smile on my face.... and i know it does the same to other people also...... Im off tomorrow too so if u need help there im off..... Sometimes its good working for the Uncle Sam..........

Thanks for the info. I took the shim off the blower pulley and only used the one that was provided. Should I use both? That is what you did > right? I hope this works (pictures that is).
