Default Making Progress

The 236/242 cam is in

F1 is still in the process of getting mounted, one problem is that I now have no way of running a filter on the blower, the induction side is too close to the radiator shroud to fit anything in there.......so they are going to most likely fab up an MAF screen and squeeze it over, we were talking about moving the radiator up so it stands straight up, kind of how harlans and the speed inc. shop car is.......but then we thought of issues w/not enough air flow to the radiator w/the intercooler being in there......

Next up is getting the battery to the trunk, a new right rear shock, a new sway bar, and finish up the piping....

We are also afraid that I am not going to have enough fuel to get me through this.......current setup is a 420 bosch race pump with the 60# mototrons.....

Guess we will see what happens in the following week

Keeping the fingers crossed

Brian,
Yoy might get warmer with the radiator like that..... My car used to be 185 degree's all the time before the FMIC install and still is with the front cover plate off..... but with it on my car runs 20 degree's warmer.... even on the freeway..... I tested it by pulling over and taking it off.... thern putting it back on.... im going to do a mesh screen like Jer so i can run it off all the time...... I wonder how you will be with that one Bousch pump.... the same one i have.... what HP does Speed Inc think its good for??? Are you going to be using the rate rise with your Reg.???? I wasnt before and i saw FP drop a little.... i Think ill add a MDS or KB boosta-pump before i upgrade to another pump. Can we run dual external pumps??? Im wondering also about the Injectors.... they should be 71#ers with 60 psi of FP.... but that in a perfect world..... I hope there good enough for my goal of 650 rwhp...... oh yeah... this thread sucks with out pictures.. ha ha Get over there and take some pics.......
Later

Time for a custom radiator...plan on it. $800 or so. Give the F1 fresh clean air. This is a must do in my opinion.

Sounds like good progress.

You might not need to buy a custom radiatior. YOu may be able to have someone cut yours up and make it shorter with new end tanks. It might not be worth the hassle, but then again, it might be.

I already have a custom radiator, so I have a fan that can flow a lot of air, I can run the screen for now, and work some "mod" out in the near future

I think if we have fuel problems, I'll have to throw a twin 420 to that one and see if that helps

I already knew you had a aftermarket radiator........ Keep me posted if you go with another 420 pump for twins and how speed inc does it........ Ill probably have to use both my -8an outlets out of my sump and feed them into the dual tanks and use a Y-block to feed both -8 lines into one -10an line as my new feed...... i was also thinking about using another -10 to dual -8 Y block up by my rails to feed both rails at the same time..... then probably step up to the 72# injectors... i believe ther $93 apiece though.... will it ever end?????
Pics man pics...

I have problem 1/2" clearance between the inlet of the blower and the back of the fan shroud, there is no room to fit anything besides a screen tipe of deal, the F1 is much wider......

For fuel, I was thinking the 72's are an option, they are expensive and if I do need to do it, I will most likely, right now I don't have any money left to be able to throw a fast or BS3 system on my car, in the future for sure, now no......

I'll have to most likely do a twin 420.......

The F1 is mounted now, so things are moving along..........

I'll keep you guys updated.......
