Default Got a question about a boost vs fuel..

If im WOT and the belt on the sc starts slipping would I see the fuel pressure drop a bit? I would think so since the air going through would be less.

Also the pulley setup I have is supposed to give me 10psi. The heads flow pretty well and I have a 2.75 blower pulley I would like to put on. Im not currently seeing 10psi.. The belt is slipping a bit though. I cant seem to find an 8 rib belt for the bigger pulley. I have the belt for the smaller pulley but I also dont know if my fuel system can handle it. Would you guys think that a 383 with trickflow heads with 8.5:1 compression and the 14psi pulley combo would be ok with a walbro 255 and a t rex boost pump with racetronix harness and 42lb injectors? The 14 psi is on a stock motor I should only see about 12 or so psi.

An Airtex T-Rex is apx. 200L/Hr and the Walbro is 255L/Hr.
The T-Rex will probably choke the Walbro!
If you need more fuel volume add a booster to the Racetronix PnP harness.

The fuel pressure won't drop, but the boost pressure probably will. When my belt needed tightening, the boost would rise to about 8.5 or 9 at about 5800, then quiver and drop back to 8 - 8.5 as the engine continued on to about 6400 rpm. After I retightened the belt, it continued on up to 9.5 or so and didn't drop back.

im listening.. booster. where is that on your site? I cant find it on thunderracing either. Do you think 42 lb injectors will support a 383 with a mid range cam and 12 psi? 8.5:1 cr.

also.. according to my fuel pressure guage im seeing 50 psi @ WOT around 3500+ rpm.

I here about belt slipping on blowers all the time. I would think by now they would do a cross cut bell that goes across the pully and not the length ways on the pulley. Or is this out and it is just cost to damn much.

Not if the pulley had walls on it. I will try and scetch some thing. Think of it as a motorcycle belt. They dont slip off. But i am not sure on how fast the blet is going.

What power level?

42's sound small.

I am not a fan of T-Rex inline pumps for your power level. I like what Jack @ Racetronix said he's the fuel system guru.
