Default Considering STS turbo

I have a 2001 Firehawk with a cold air kit and loudmouth exhaust. I will be doing a moser 12 bolt rear this upcoming summer. I have been reading about the STS turbo kit, and i really like it. Is it worth it, im not really going for anything crazy, just a good driver with a good kick, and still able to retain good gas milage. Is the STS right for me?

Damn, that sounded like an intro to an STS commercial... LMAO

Ever feel like you're stuck in the slow lane? Cars passing you left and right, day after day. Has your self esteem been pumeled into the dirt by 03' Cobras and hyped up WRX STis? Well then, you medicine is just a quick credit card charge away! The folks at STS have been solving problems for people just like you! Their rear-mount turbo system will give you just the BOOST you need to propell yourself to the top of the automotive food chain... Financing is available!!!

Ok, seriously.

IMO yes. That's kinda how the kit was designed. I mean you have the option of going nutty later on but if you just want a good daily driver with minimal cost/effort then the STS is great. Plus even if it doesn't get CARB approval, it is easy to remove for smog time since you retainn most of your factory components.

Justin (F8L Z71) is right, that describes the STS perfectly. I have a bone stock Formula, dont really care that much about drag racing, just want something fun that will surprise the hell out of some. I have gotten over 29mpg a few times with the kit; car drives bone stock until you get on it. I love it.

Get the turbo 1st and then get a rear end when it breaks.

"Hi everyone, My name is Sam and I need real power." I live in Cobra Valley and I get schooled by these cars all the time!...J/K... Ok my name is Sam, but I really live in California. How much is this kit (5-7psi) and what is the grand total once you add up all the extra's once installed?(Ls1 sts owners) My car is a 1998 Camaro SS. Its fast, but not fast enough to play with the Big Boys. These guys have "IEATZ28" & "GMSPNKR" on there plates. No joke

LOL yeah I'm leaning towards STS as well... looks like a nice setup.

This one guy I know with supercharged 97 Cobra has "LS1HAHA" for his plate. He's a really nice guy though... he really likes my SS. He asked me if people are still buying "that rear mounted turbo system". I said yes, and he said it will kick *** and I should definitely do it

I was shocked that he knew about them and gave them so much praise

Over 29mpg? If that is true it is worth buying the kit just for the mileage. I drive almost 80mi. a day (highway), and I get around 21 to 22 mpg. This is with my 01 ws6 m6 bone stock. Not that I am really concerned with mileage, because you have to pay to play.
