Chris2002 SS, WS-6 SC, is your hood stock or aftermarket?

Stock SS hood here. There were no signs of the plastic box hitting the hood either, if that is what you were getting at.

Just curious. Trying to see if there is some kind of trend or something. (Other than the crappy plastic air box, LOL)

"Just curious. Trying to see if there is some kind of trend or something. (Other than the crappy plastic air box, LOL)"

The trend is minimize quality to meet bare miimum specifications and then charge the maxium price for the minimum quality piece.

Although I will get the ATI 1-DSC kiit and will have to pay extra for the optional polished aluminum plenum, you would think that they could include a metal aluminum plenum as stardard equipment rather than as an option considering the fact that they used to include a unpolished metal one in earlier kits but which is now replaced with plastic one which blows apart when boosted over 5-6 psi. I can't imagine ATI saved more than 5-10 dollars by switching to the plastic plenum, if that.

But they don't include the higher quality blue silicone hoses either but instead what appears to be lower quality hose and clamps.

Where can I get the higher quality silicone hose so I can install it instead of the black hose ATI supplied with the kit?

Who or what sponsor sells this?

If the price is right I would just as soon install this instead of the polished ATI aluminum plenum. Looks like it might polish up nice too.

A friend made that for me out of some mandrel bent tubing and a piece of straight tubing to go into the throttle body. He mashed the straight piece to an oval shape and then welded it all up. As far as polish, it's painted now. The pipe was uncoated steel!
