Yeah we had one hell of a weekend!
All i can say is team Stenod is all smiles right now!! Car ran like a champ! .
And we also made it to the semi's in modified stock with a bad *** car we put together in a week and a half with the help of livernois motorsports and the kick *** motor they built for us!!
Team effort everywhere we looked this weekend!

I heard rumors of the black 97(or later) firebird with the big 98mm turbo going a 7.99 Friday night.
Did anyone notice harlans MPH today? One of the passes was a 8.XX @ 170!!! So I think there is still more in her with a harder launch!

harlan had a pass he cooked the tires till way after the 60 foot, let out, got back in and still ran like 8.8 at 170, insane.
I thought he was gonna crank it up on the king of the cane final run, he ended up with a 164 mph pass or so.
it was amazing seeing those cars in person, congrats to the Stenod crew.

I heard APE was there and ran a high 9et. I could be wrong! Not bashing them but come on, I know with that motor in it, it will so much faster. But now we have to wait tell next year as the tracks around here are closed.

It was there....... had belt problems to start..... threw the first belt right out of the burnout box... 2nd belt right passed the 60' mark....
Third pass they fixed a belt aliginment problem but couldnt get traction out of the hole.... as you all know the convertor is a 6100 stall and as soon as it would flash they would be at 30 psi of boost.... then they found out the trans-break wasnt working...... that was on the 3rd pass and she was all over the place and they let out. 4th and final pass they foot breaked it out to a 1.66 60' and she was all over the place again. driver said he let off by the 1000' mark and she still did a 5.6 1/8 @111 then he got back into it one more time, got back out of it again... then back into it an dlet off right before the traps and did a 10.1@121... I walked over to the pits after the run and there gray **** every where... they had some gray chalk crap in the cooling system and the resivor over flowed and was all over the whole engine bay and drivers window.. it was a mess. After further inspection they had lifted a head and blown a head gasket..... and that was it.... Thats not bad for a cars first time at the track coming right off the dyno. It didnt get there this time, but it will there is no doubt in my mind. All you APE haters can say what ya want.... i dont really give a **** what ya think or say.
I had a blast at Thunder and ill be there next year..... Chris, Nick, Tom, Great seeing you guys again.
