Way to go Matt, glad to see a Detroit car layin it down, ecspecially since he isn't some over hyped, big cubed, bottomless wallet, checkbook mechanic.(Not starting a fight, but i just have more respect for a quiet guy with smaller means, than a big dollar baller that doesn't even drive his own car let alone work on it) Doin all on a budget, congrats, i remember cruisin gratiot when he had the old incon setup, and him rolling next to me uncorked, sounded like a friggin 747 on takeoff.

Just rolled back into town.

It was definately a wierd final.

I NEVER cut a light, ever. And managed a .033 I should frame the slip just for that one

We just couldn't get the tires to stay planted at all sunday. We got the bars and suspension figured out friday and saturday, but keeping the tires under the car w/ more top end boost just wasn't working. Was in and out of it twice on that pass.

I said it all week before and all weekend, I'd rather be lucky than good any day.

I'm sure we'll line them up again in april.

FWIW, my slip read like this..
60' - 1.733
1/4 - 9.3 @ 170.x

you'd think i had a supra

LOL nice.

Harlan do those 28's have a lot of runs on them? I was watching your last 3 or so runs and I was thinking about how some competitive racers I know change slicks every other race. I was wondering if you had like 30+ runs on them tires.

LOL, nice Supra dig. Sad that a little 3.0L motor gets so much attention. But it's nice I guess. Nice run indeed. Being new here I'll ask. Do you drive your car around town, on the streets, too the track, etc? Was just wonder because I know a few low/mid 8 second Supra's that do and cannot say I've ever seen a Street Supra run wheelie bars. But again with so much more displacement and off the line TQ that those built V8's have, can fully see why it's needed. Again, nice run. That's one mean car you have there.

The answer is yes, the car has prowled the streets of metro Detoit this summer without the wheelie bars. We don't see many Supras where the big boys come out to play around here.

There was one that thought he could hang on the highway a few years ago but even with his dyno graph taped to his dash,... it just didn't give hime the kind of boost that a good vtech sticker would have been able to provide for the race. So the motor went Tick, Tick, Boooom trying to play catchup to the old slower version of this car.
