Default Auto exhaust cutout... kinda cool

This is from an import tuner that I use when dynoing my truck.

Pretty neat if you ask me. It's kinda like having an electronic cutout but never having to hit the swtich it seems.

Check it out.

Could work really well for the guys with big turbos that NEED a muffler but don't have room or want the restriction.

So it opens when you have positive pressure? If so thats bad ***. That would be good to run stock cat-back for the stealth look at the street races. Then drop the hammer open exhaust

yeah, basically runs inline with your vacume I assume so that once you reach positive pressure it starts to open up.

This would be awesome for those like me who hate starting the motor without the muffler and part throttle driving is easier when I have a muffler so this would solve all my issues since IO don't like having to deal with yet another switch in my truck.

Ok, I talked to Paul and he said it is not solenoid activated so it will start to open around 2-3psi and by 5psi it is fully open, well enough to bypass the exhaust needed.

This is nice for us truck guys who see boost at part throttle but don't truely want the thing open 100% at only 2psi.

The kit sells for $235 I believe and they are totally open to working out a GP of 10 or more units.. Pretty cool!!!

In what way?

I don't really notice a difference in spool time with my muffler on or off. Have you noticed it being different on the F-body kits? Man I hope not.

This would obviously go after the turbo on an STS kit instead of right at the Y-pipe for everyone else.

F8L, that looks pretty cool... You can also try flipping your wastegate so it vents straight to atmosphere instead into the exhaust stream.

LOL, that's what it's doing right now. I lost a gasket between the gate and the tail pipe so I have an ugly exhaust leak there. It sounds more like a jet though which is kind of cool I guess. Other than the leak hiss. Hahaha

3" was as big as they went but form the looks of it you could just get the mechanical part and have it welded to a 4" pipe no?

I would call up ATP and ask for Paul or press 4# for the dyno room and ask for him. He could tell ya if it can be modified or not. I told him some of the v8 guys might be interested and it would open a whole new market for them. LOL

They have an Audi A4 with a 1.7L motor that traps 120mph. Pretty sick! Hahaha

I don't see why it would hurt spool up. With turbo I thought you want as free flowing as you can get.

I built a new pipe between the turbo and the race muffler that doesn't have the little up pipe tee for the wastegate. Then I took out the two wastegate bolts upstream of the turbo and flipped the whole wastegate over so the outpipe points straight down.

Justin, this would be great for some people. I have a 60 year old guy who wants a kit, but want a stock sounding truck. He might like this alot. Let me know if you hear of a GP.
