Default Replacement Belt for D1SC from a local store?

We have Napa, Pep Boys, Cragen, etc.

Any of these places sell a belt I can use for my D1SC, 6rib, 3.4" pulley

Thanks

With my 6 rib setup i had the best of luck with the Goodyear Gatorback belts. About the same price as a Napa belt, but they grip alot better..... now with my SDCE setup using a 8 rib belt i have no problems using Gates belts........ and if you dont tell them its on a SC the replacement belt is free when you break it..... from Napa.

I've had better luck with Gates (branded by Napa) than with the Gattor Back.

Hey Nasty,

I'm running the stock 6 rib with stock crank pulley and 3.4 s/c pulley and couldn't find a Gatorback to fit. I'm running a gates belt I got from Carquest (K060365). Goodyear says they don't make them in the needed length. What # Gatorback belt were you using?

Never ran a 3.4" blower pulley. I ran a 3.2" pulley with a gatorback and a stock crank pulley saw 7psi, then went back with a 4" blower pulley and a MMS crank pulley and a Gatorback and saw 11 psi. Sorry.

Kyle,

How did that 3.2 inch pulley work for you. Slip? I'm thinking about dropping another size but don't want to have a lot of slipping problems. The 3.4 incher is working pretty good. As long as I keep the belt good and tight, I don't see any real slip.

Thanks

Thanks

It slipped like crazy..... I could never get a belt to stay fo rvery long.... thats teh reason i stepped up to the bigger MMS crank pulley... then with the bigger crank pulley i coulg go up to a bigger blower pulley.... for less slip.....But in the end nothing even compars to the SDCE kit....best thing ive bought so far except the FMIC. With the SDCE kit and a 4" blower pulley i saw 7 psi ALL time run after run with a built 370ci motor... not a stock motor.....
