Help ... I'm losing hope with this SC stuff

Well once again ... my f&ck%6g ATI damper rotated off the crank. Eveytime it does this, all my belts get messed up including the AC and the accessories belt because it misaligns everything.

HOW do I get this damn thing to stay on. I can never enjoy my car becuase something always breaks or goes wrong

How much torque should be applied ?

Are you talking about the ATI SuperDamper? Did you pin the crank?

I'm running the ATI SuperDamper, pinned the crank, and used an ARP crank bolt. Didn't have a torque wrench, but the car was up on a lift and when tightening the bolt, I really got down on it.. put all of my weight into it. I'm not big & buff, so I probably only torqued it to 200ft/lbs or so... I haven't had any problems.

Hey bro don't have any info for ya. But I can tell you once you get all the bugs fixed it will be WORTH IT.... I went threw the same thing with my cars. I am sure almost everyone has at some point in time. But once you get it running perfect it just makes it worth while.

You have to pin the crank with that damper, if you dont it will come off. Pin it and use a fresh stock bolt and the factory tightening procedure and it will never come loose again. Hopefully the crank and the ATI hub isnt chewed up after coming loose a couple times.

Once you get the damper to stay on the ATI will be a lot more fun, trust me

SHould the damper have come with a pining kit ?

We just finished tourquing it down to 150 ft/lbs. Not sure about the pining

I used the stock bolt and then there are 3 little bolts that hold the SDCE crank pulley to the superdamper

no, but they should have sold you one, its easy to do once the damper is off so get one and get it done.

Exactly what they said.... I had problems with my stock crank bolt backing out.....and i used a new crank bolt each time...... are you ????? If not that could be part of your probelm. The stock bolt is a TQ to yeild bolt that is only to be used once. When i ordered my shortblock i had the crank pinned. I havent had a problem since.
