Choosing the proper turbo

Choosing the proper turbo I've been toying with the idea of building a turbo system for my truck. Ive looked at some of the companies designs, and I must say im not impressed. I dont thinkbuilding the system will be difficult. I think choosing the proper size turbo/type will be most difficult. Im looking to make the most efficient amount hp/tq throughout the whole entire rpm range. I plan on using an intercooler so I will compensate some pressure loss. I also want to avoid as much turbo lag as possible. I have a 6.0ho motor in my 03 Silverado SS which does have high compression. What turbo should I use/ how much boost should it push to make the most efficient power throughout the whole rpm range? Mind you I will be running 93 octane all the time. Thanks for your help.

well start out with your power goals.
with the 6.0 i think a PT76 GTS would do well, not much lag and enough power to last you a long time.
