What happened to all the turbo'd C5's?
#21
Just a little home made setup that I cooked up because I can't afford 10k for a "pro" kit. mild steel 1.75" headers that will be coated inside and out. a pair of 4" inlet precision pt 61's with 69 trim t4 turbines. 3" downpipes, tial 38mm gates and a custom made spearco intercooler. I made 663rwhp with the D1 @ 13psi on pump gas. hope I can at least match those numbers with the turbos at the same boost level on pump gas. actually the turbos should make more, but I try to keep my expectations low and be suprised by higher numbers. I'll throw on a boost controller and meth kit after my finances recoup and crank the boost up.

WOW you are getting close!!!!!!!
Your kit is awesome. Should make AMAZING power.
I went with the TTiX kit because it was more hidden. But I almost went with the PTK for the top potential.
Good luck, keep us posted.

"that guy"
Though it looked like a bunk *** driver in the vette,...just my opinion. Your car moves decent. Both races if I had to bet, i'd say the vette had traction issues...either way, vette lost, you won. Yeah.

The Z28 has a bit more power than the C5 did in this particular case. Just because its an LT1 doesn't mean it can't out power even a twin turbo'd LS1.

Still in the works
The motor is rebuilt and fresh. I am fighting with my cage built for a crappy job. When the cage is fixed I will be Open Road Racing my ride. Her is a picture and some specs

Actually the guy driving the vette has driven my car faster at the track than I can (meaning he's a better driver). AND, his Vette 60 ft times are better than mine (he has better traction as well.

Seen LT1's make 750's 10 years ago,...who's doubting?
Unless he was on a sticky tire on the street in that vette(speaking from experience),..he's not going to come close to hooking on the street at that slow of a roll or a dig. Just not gonna happen, regardless of skill.
I'm guessing he was making between 490-550 if it was stock twin turbo'd.
