Update on my car,(major diet) Well im well underway on my backhalveing project. Its not that bad at all for my first time doin it. Biggest hastle is getting it all cut out. That took bout 2 nights after work. That really lightened it up. I still got some minor trimming to do later on but 95% done on cutting. We have almost got the complete rear of the car done. I still gotta put a few of the bars in place for the rear part. Then ill be able to start on the front halve. I have to get the chute mounted and get all the fuel cell, water cell, and battey mount and kill switch yet. Its all 4130 chromoly even the rear sheetmetal housing. Its light as can be. I dont know how to post pics but i have a Zip file i can mail to someone. I gotta take more pics tonite so show what all i have done now. So I have about 20 hours in the project. The cost wasnt too bad also between selling my wheels and tires, rear, and gas tank, Im only out bout 600 dollars outta my pocket. But have to purchace lots of stuff yet. Thanks Justin

I sent it to both of you let me know if it sent the zip file. I think i did it right. I also have some more pic as soon as i get them on the computer of all the work i have completed to now.

more pics, the last four are when Justin first started backhalving the T/A excuse the spelling. Sorry for mixing them up just over looked them at first

Its perfectly level with a 1" rake to the front. I use pipe jackstands i use at work to build big boiler headers to get it all level. They are all threaded so u can level any witch way you want. Tires size will be a 31x10.5W. Car should weigh bout 2550 or so with me in it. Motor will be 404 in C5R heads solid roller. I have to get the rods changed out and sent the motor to Wheel to Wheel and get the girtle and the distributer drive conversion. When Kurt put the fast system on it. He told me id be coming back to get the crank trigger issues fixed. Its real hard to start will almost run the battery down before it starts. Anyways ill be switching to a turbo setup. Hopefully be rowing gears myself too. Ive been looking around for a lenco or a liberty setup. Its has a long ways to go yet as you can see. I can probally be done with all the chassis work in a few weeks and have the tin and carbon fiber tubs back in. Ill take some more pics when i get some more work done on it.
Yes John a class similar to Super Street Outlaw. I ran True Street in OSCA this year and was no where near fast enough and way overweight. Car weight 3610 with me in it. So now im stepping up to 10.5 Outlaw. I hope its comptitive, I think the norm for that class is 4.60-.80s Guess I shall see when i get it all done and bugs worked out what number it will put down.
