Customized STS Twins Thanks to STS for the assistance. What a top notch company.
Though STS has no formal intention of producing rear mount twins for F-Bodies, doesnt mean it cant be made. I have met with the master welder (thanks to Redline ) and just ordered piping for the twin set up and will post some pics as the progress moves forward. Fab work should begin the 1st week of Janurary if not sooner. I am running dual 2.5 inch ovals off JBA headers, over the axel and into the each turbo. Currently, you should be able to look into the tips and see the exhaust turbine fins about 24" in. I will have an "h" pipe design to equalize the pressure between the pipes as well, which should help when I sync the wasegates. I will have two 2" intercooler pipes run under the body to the intercooler as well. Previous plans to run polished pipe under the rocker we nixed for various reasons.
The turbos are 76mm units provided by John Craig.
If anyone has any input its not to late..my biggest concerns we whether to run dual 3" and dual 2.5" and weather to have an "h" or "X" and if it makes any difference having either.
I've been out of the game since August so I'm excited to get off the PC and back into the garage. Wish me luck. Its fineally starting.

Now thats pioneering, kudos on have the "*****" to jump into an unknown area. Im not totally sure but I think you would want to stay around 2.5" piping to keep the exhaust gas velocity up.

I think 3" would cause some spooling problems since the pressure would be less it would allow more air but the velocity is what will be spinning the turbos which would be greater with the 2.5", hell im not totally sure maybe jose can chime in here he would know for sure, i also think the X pipe would do bettter than the H pipe for the same reasons.

It would have been more interesting if I went with a sponsers suggestion to use a single pipe (standrad "y" installation) split where the muffler is...my fear there was one turbo would spin more...but then..so what if it did, how would it effect things??? Would it matter much...would the waste gates and pressure equalize things? My thought is that the turbo with less restriction (passenger) would spin more, get hotter and be less efficient...but then all the charged air is traveling 15 feet, going through an intercooler to a forged motor...who knows...maybe the next clown can try that version. I guess that would have been to easy.
I have also made another step "seemingly" backwords (I sold the twin front mount kit to do this (had to prove a point to myself and put my money where my mouth was, I am a STS supporter from day one) I sold the LSX in favor of the LS2..why??? Just to try to make power with it. My goal is to be a guy that made good power with the routinely questioned systems and parts. Now, if only I had the guts to sell STage 3 Absolute my heads and get the Patriots.

what are you gonna use to manage the engine? Stock pcm or aftermarket?
my suggestion would be BS3 w/ the trans controller and a 4L80E
T3/T4's like before or straight T4 76's??

i dont get the idea of a twin sts, but if you do go with the 2.5" exhaust, spool time will already be slow because its mounted back there and with the large impellers.

the 2.5 is better, possably 2" for more force behind the air. it needs the faster push for spool time, just dont want to go to small and choke it.

how much cfm will straight 2" pipe flow?? Anyone? what about 2.5"? Are you gonna take the two cold pipes and run them like the sts stuff (like a subframe connector) but on each side. That would look so nice. I actually like this idea, maybe not with 76mm turbo's, but it seems logical to take two smaller T3's and equal the air flow of say 70mm that would take a bit to spool up.
I'd say 2.5" or even 2.25" pipes. Might want to think about smaller turbos since it is a street car; then again the ones quoted are not standard T-76s. I was just thinking two T-60s should flow enough air for a silly street car with decent spool time.
