Need help picking wastegate!

Need help picking wastegate! It is my understanding that the QMP kit came with the HKS 40mm wastegate. We are using the Stainless works piping on my car and I have to find a wastegate that will work. I thought about going with the Tial 46mm wastegate, but I haven't seen anyone else using it with that kit. I am concerned about the 46mm fitting properly. I would also like to know if anyone has experienced boost creep with the HKS 40mm wastegate. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks! I plan to run it pretty low for the first 3-4 months. I want to make sure that all the bugs are worked out before pushing it too hard. This car is also my daily driver and I am a bit concerned about the copper gaskets holding up. I also would like to stay low for a little while to get the street tune in line before going all out. Just trying to play things really safe keeping it around 500rwhp on the street and hopefully pushing up towards 700rwhp on the track with a more aggressive tune and race gas.
Not sure what the mounting flange setup is on the HKS gates, but the Tials use a 4 bolt flange versus a 2 bolt or V-band. But if you're making your own mount is won't matter.

The turbo is a Turbonetics T76. I do need a 4 bolt flange and it appears my options are limited to the HKS 40mm and the Tial 46mm. I was going to go with the Tial 46mm but I am told that it might not fit. If the 40mm will work, then I will just go with that. PSJ - I am running a copper head gasket made by Flatout with some sort of rubber coating.

What about the diameter of the tube your flange is welded to? is it 40mm. If you put the 46 on the same flange wont you just constrict the wastegate? I am going from a 35 to a 42 so I was going to change the tube and the flange to match the 42mm size of the inlet in the wastegate. Maybe it doesnt matter? I dont have tons of turbo know how but it seems that you would want as much flow as you can get with all the back pressure that is involved. Do you have a 3in DP with that kit? also what size is the crossover?
I'm going through this right now with a car that has a T-74 and a HKS 40mm. It will not hold low boost. I actually have the WG venting to atmosphere thru a 1.75" pipe and it still won't hold. He is trying to run 9 psi and it can't flow enough to hold it there. I'm now going to add a second WG to the crossover pipe where it connects to the back of the log. Should be able to run as low as he wants after that.

700rw is alot of HP for that hot parts setup, I think Rob had to run Meth to get up there (cant remember what fuel he was using) What heads r u running and what is your CR?
On the TTI T76 kit which is very similar I am running into IAT trouble at 500rw (a4 mustang dyno) so it is forcing me to run the big OBX intercooler this spring. and I have dish pistons and 6.0l heads so I should be 9.1 to 9.5ish

Motor is 370ci Iron Block (4.030" bore, o-ringed) with stage II heads, Diamond Forged Aluminum Dished Pistons (-16cc). At this point it seems like my biggest obstacle is finding the right housing. I need a Turbonetics T series, on center, .96, Q Trim housing (PN 20296-4) but everyone I have called has been absolutely no help. I can't find anyone that actually has one or knows when they will get one.
BTW -- I appreciate the compliments on the flame job.

Get in contact with Don Bailey. You can find him on www.hardcore50.com He's responsible for a good portion of the turbo Mustangs you see blasting down the track. He'll pick something out for you that will meet your goals. He's a dealer for almost everything too so you can buy directly from him. He'll answer any other questions you might have.
700rwhp isnt that unrealistic. i made 530 on pump gas on a stock motor. but use as big of a WG as you can. trboce is working on my car now and its been a project. just go big

on my turbotech with the small delta gate i only got about 1psi of boost creep. and that was just when i opened up the cutout.
talk to Jose with forcedinductions he probably could get you one that will work, just might take a little while to order it.

I finally found a housing from DIL on Turbo Mustangs. Now I just have to get the wastegate. I think I will just go with the HKS 40mm since everyone seems to be doing okay with it. Does anyone know anything about a company called Stone Racing? I am told that they have a wastegate similar to the HKS 40mm but it costs less. Just wondering if they are legit.
if you are running a qmp kit, take it from me dont go with the hks 40mm wg. i have had nothing but problems with it. it creeps like nothing else. i am just running 9psi though. i am currently adding a 2nd wg to elliviate the problem. go with the turbosmart or the racing hks. its a little bit more but in the long run you will thank me
