so.....did you ever have that 226 cam? I thought ARE built you a motor complete in the first place...then rebuilt it later. Sounds like either way, ARE passed a stock cam off as a $400 upgrade. weird.

yall dont take off on too big a tangent guys. the first motor (that was a long block and came with a custom turbo cam) i took back to them and they rebuilt it over one weeked (which i thought was great of them as said in the post you found) and they put the cam from the first one (cam in question) right into the second one right in front of me and i never asked a question because i had no reason to doubt them.
quicksilverado.. the cam i have you were interested in came from more performance, but the same circumstances, exept that one does not match any stock cam profiles but it is not the spec they sold me either.. its .490's instead of .530's on lift.
chris, i hate it too, but i was on email with a former employee that worked on my engine and he confirmed for me it was a stock cam they sold me.

But a good thing was brought out in my mind. In a boosted application, the cam isn't as important to the combination.
But try making 500 flywheel hp with a stock cam in a n/a motor....
