that will never work....hangs too low...prolly scrub if you do a wheelie where you drag the bumper. The housing is gonna crack when it gets rain on it from you doing 20 psi in the rain/snow Install looks nice. I can't wait until people with the kit get some seat time at the track with. Oughta put out some good numbers!!!!

ive read with those STS kits that you dont need i/c cuz the pipe from the turbo to the intake is so long that it cools down from the ambient air around it?

The one pictured is running 14psi I think. With that psi, he needs a FMIC. Pretty much anything over 5psi with the sts you need to cool the charge air to be safe.

if i get the STS turbo, will i need to do anything to my bottom end to run 7-9#? I know with the ATI P-1SC i can do that and still be safe with the 10.5:1 CR. If i can then i think i definatly want to go with the STS

PUREVL whats up with that longer silicone coming off your tbody? What modifications did you have to make to your kit to work with 14psi? My intake pipe came pretty close to my powersteering pulley. Was that your fix for that?

lots of custom piping done by slowhawk, we moved the maf location as well. Mines the first one we tried it on and boy oh boy it made a difference in low end throttle response. To run 14psi I turn the **** No we obviously got the gt70 and fmic to push it to that level. Kept the timing very very low as well. My 10 psi numbers were at 14 degrees I believe. Don chime in here and explain the install cause i was sleeping in his garage when he did it

Yea, i don't like how low the maf pipe sits right now. I'm sure if the maf was relocated it would help the throttle response too.

I ran 7.5# on my LQ9 (10.1:1) with no cooling. I ran up to 12 psi with meth. You definately have to tune for this though, and definitely need more fuel.

you can handle about 500 rwhp on stock bottom end, anything over 5 psi will require a fmic or meth

I highly recommend an intercooler for all the STS kit's.Methenol is just a band aid.On a stock motor I recommend 5-8lbs,intercooler,42lb injectors and a fuel pump upgrade. That will put you around 480- 500hp/450-500tq on pump gas.The STS will outpower a Procharger in the midrange.

cool thats what i wanted to hear. i figured that i would need the i/c the fuel pump and bigger injectors.. what if i did the meth injection with the fmic? could i run more boost on my stock bottom end? The goal for my car is to be a consistant 11's runner that is a daily driver, so im just trying to do my research on how to make power with out having to serious stuff like swapping pistions and whatnot
