Default Best Spark plugs for forced induction App?

I was just curious as to what the best spark plugs were for a forced induction application, high boost that is... I'd prefer something that'll last through hell and back, as I don't really want to change them that often. I've seen on the majority of the sponsor sites that copper cored plugs seem to be a popular item, however do those last a while? I've also seen NGK Iridiums, I need something two or three heat ranges below stock.. Thanks for your time.

NGK TR6's are like 3 heat ranges colder than stock.

I have used TR8's a bit, and like the Autolite 3911's a bit more. I am running 19-21 psi, and have my plugs gapped at .025.

Cheers,

John

Did you use the Iridium or Copper cores? And have any blown out on you?

13 PSI Boost

NGK's gapped at .032 ~ .035

If I'm tuning and figure I may foul the plugs, I use Autolite 103's... cheaper, but work well for their life.

Default spark plugs

I have denso iridiums in mine......honestly not much difference from the tr6 pushing 13 psi NR22 I think slightly better idle than tr6 but other than that no other noticeable differences except the price.

So as far as wear life, I'm guessing the coppers will last me a while under duress? I've only used Platinum on all of my other cars, which usually lasted about 60k mi even with heavy driving..

I don't think you want to drive copper cores on FI for 60K!

If you have FI, don't use platinum and DON'T exepect to drive ANY plugs for 60K miles.

If you are skeered to change plugs, don't bother with FI.

Don't go with Brisk on FI as they blow out.

Stock NGK heat range for us is 5, 6's are one colder not 3

I've run a 7 heat range and an 8 heat range in the NGK's. I stuck with the 7's, they seemed to have the best results for timing marks and keeping themselfs clean w/ retained heat.

i have a set of tr6's in my motor now and am going to the dyno tomorrow, probably see 15psi or so on the 408. should i run the tr6's or swap them out to 7's? i have the 7's and they aren't to hard to change but they do make it idle a little worse so i dont want to use them unless i need them.
