Default F1R fit into D1SC brackets?

I think I have asked before I didn't get any info...... I am still kinda guaging doing a blower for now.

I was actually thinking about the speed inc eliminator kit and just upgrading to an F1R, b/c I think i read somewhere that they will interchange.

Maybe he will tune in.... I guess I could re-route the intake and make an air filter work some how.

on my setup i had to relocate the radiator and condenser about 3 inches forward ( just the bottom part- basically tilting the radiator more). this freed enough space to squeeze in a 90 deg. 4/3.5 rubber elbow ( got it from AZTPI) you have to remeber that the inlet of a F!-r sticks out alot more than an F! or a D1sc, so you will have to trim that 90 deg elbow.
i also connected a steel pipe to the elbow to connect the filter to it , i had to slightly "squish" the side that goes into the elbow to make it fit better.

i tried uploading the pics but they are a bit too big. if you want i could email them to you if you want. or if anyone wants me to send them to them so they can resize them or something ( not very computer savvy) and post them.

I'd like to see a pic of the elbow, I just got something similar for my car.

Bos just has to relocate his radiator a bit to get a elbow in there.

Did u ever thought about getting a HKS filter. It flows really good and u can get them really thin and im sure they would squeeze right there. Take a look at them.

Here u go.. http://www.hksusa.com/categories/?id=1077 . I think the filter im talking about is called Super Mega Flow. I didnt try it yet on my car, but from the looks of it it will fit just fine... We also tried the HKS filter on a SC'd viper over the K&N and it gave numbers close to running NO filter on the viper which was around 890rwhp. The K&N robs around 60-90rwhp at those power levels from what i have seen on the dyno.

The link has a good pic of the filter and its components. http://www.alamomotorsports.com/prod...com/hkssmf.htm

I think my best bet is to call HKS, they don't have any measurements listed for the opening diameter on the site....unless I wasn't looking hard enough, but I need something that can fit over the inlet of my blower which is about 3"

I tired looking for measurements on the website with no luck. Im sure u will find 3" inlets since Supra's run these filters on the Huge Single turbo setups.

If you resize the pics you can host them on the site as attachments, it's an advanced feature, haven't you noticed those in my threads?

I have the BMR shroud. I just slotted the "mounting" holes that were there about 1.5 that let me pull the radiator foward A LOT and now I have clearance infront of the inlet hat and I am F1 Ready....shouldn't be too hard to get a filter in there...I can fab up my own elbow.
