I would think that 10#'s through a nice set of heads would be too much for pump gas?? Irreguardless of compression ratio? But then again i'm here to learn and listen, not speak, lol!

But 10#s through stock heads on the other hand seems doable.

You'll need trans work though, lol. And a clutch...

i would never put 10psi threw a stock head i would only do it if i lowered my compression i would do 7 psi threw a stock head

What I was getting at was this... there is more air (volume wise) with a given amount of boost through ported heads versus the more restrictive stock heads.

I run 10# all day long through stock LQ9 heads and pump gas, of course you have to have an intercooler but thats a given. Im putting in a bigger IC this spring and will probably run 12#

You can run 8-10lbs through your stock heads all day. It's all about the tuning. You'll be surprised how much HP you will make without the Cam or Heads.Just upgrade the valve springs with 918's and run a D1 at 8-10lbs.Easy 500rwhp and drives like stock.

You will have no problem with this setup running on pump gas. I do it all day. Head selection is perfect on parameters. The key is keeping the charge cool. Dont do it without an intercooler. However, 10 PSi is pushing the reliability threshold on the stock bottom end. My friend and one other on this site have done more but it is not reliable. Positive crankcase pressure will cause oil problems with the stock bottom end. Cam needs a split on duration to keep boost in, 8 points or so, You need more lift on the exhast side than intake side, and LS is really up in the air. It has been said that 112 will give you better low end, and 115 will give better top end. Some Aussie buddies, state that 112 can be tuned to idle like stock. I have seen a video of a 108 that was very close to idle. You can email me directly if you want to go into more detail, at lunapark@perigee.net
