Possibly not-so-smart question: Why not use a remote oil reservoir, pump and cooler mounted in the rear area? Use a small tank, with fill port and drain petcock, inline "remote filter" and cooler type setup. Allowing for a fresh, clean oil supply. Just a thought, I know space is an issue, but if us Nitrous guys can cram a 15lb bottle in a spare tire well, and all other associated **** thought maybe this wouldnt be such a bad idea. The reservoir can be mounted behind the left rear panel or forward of spare tire, with a cooler mounted rear of car.... *kick me if this is totally stupid idea*

I was thinking about the slef contained oil system too. You would need 2 pumps one pusher and one puller, a cooler and a fan and soem lines. But I wouldnt want to to trust it with out an oil presure guage and a temp guage.

Problems - minor oil leaks - This is a lot of work... I would just let the engine supply it and send it back with a weldon or tilton pump... Unless you can talk STS out of their bitchin system..
Did I just use the word bitchin?

Monitor with gauges.. 1 Oil temp & 2 pressure

Are you running Meth injection?

Youre gonna start having as many pumps as me under yours soon..

Cat, great question, and alot of thought went into it. I didnt want to re-invent the wheel completely on this portion of the system. I have no idea how ell this will work, and I tend to change what Im doing every winter here in NY...so I thought I'd go with a "proven" system rather than be creative , since everything else in the system is completely custom. I like what flipper did.

I may run meth , but I am intercooled and all IC pipe is aluminum so I may not need meth....plus Im at 8.25 to 1 compression..so Im soild to 15lbs boost on pump gas easy.

HP goals...dont have any expectations..so goals are really "hopes". If I dont hit 650, I light it on fire..If I dont reach 700, I blame the tuner and go away happy with the excuse , If I want 750 or more, which I think is Completely possible (on pump gas), I may have to go aftermarket engine management...like BS3..If I did that I'd "hope" for a bunch more. iI expect the system to max the capabilities of the factory PCM's capability to control the engine effectively. But, could be a flop..we'll see.

One thing is for sure...Im likely to rival a LeCar for 60 foot times with all this weight I keep adding!

Funny comparo with the LeCar.

Flipper, thats pretty much what i was thinking. I guess it would be easier if it were a front mount turbo and dedicated oil system, well maybe not. I just liked the idea of a cleaner, cooler oil supply for the turbo if I end up going that route. Right now i am still deciding on which route to go, more Nitrous or man up and go FI. You are using one pump correct flipper? Thanks.

jammer, your creativity is awesome, keep foging ahead.

116 days left to go before Watkins Glen....and counting!!! Z06 parts are being shipped as we speak. May have to take the car out of hibernation just to install the parts and have some fun with it.
