A handful of radial racers are into the 7's. Head is the quickest/fastest at 7.66, on MT's. At all the mustang, etc, races pretty much everybody is switching from the BFG's to the MT's because they hook significantly better. I know Big D broke into the 7's "unofficially" on the BFG's, and AFAIK he's the only one into the 7's on those tires.

There is a ton of pics of the Hardcore car at Bradenton this week along with all the big name Pro Stock+ Pro Mod guys on Competitionplus.com.They also mention them being the first LS1 style car in the 7s and backing it up w/7.96 on Fri.
The drag radial record was set and reset at the Orlando Street Nats in Oct 04 by a Red 5.0 Mustang twinturbo(not Big Daddy) went 7.67@198 on Fri testing, then on Sat qualifing a Blue 3rd gen twin Camaro went 7.65@200, then on Sun eliminations the Red stang went 7.63@199 both on MT DRs.

Somehow, reading all this Bullshit from Gary and everyone else either swinging on the sack with him, or throwing casts of doubt I suddenly feel my car is slower than ever. Good job for whatever you guys run, DR, Radials, Drag.
Dont get me wrong, I like these post of claim with no proof, makes for such interesting reading from both sides!

Impressive to be able to switch from a slick to radial tire at the same event and get the car down the track still.

Did the slick record fall any lower or is 7.94@176 still the time to beat?

Maybe you should have other people make the Hardcore posts. The way you guys blow your own horn (not that your feats aren't impressive) only takes away from the credibility you guys are on here all the time trying to gain?
Isn't that what everybody does on these sites?? Get a new time, post it up?!?!?

Tires were Mickey's. I wasn't reffering to overall record, just among us Gen 3 guys. No video this time, sorry.

Thanks for the kind words, hope to see many of you at VMP.

Brad, I hear that it's an F2 or F3, so it's probably singer adder.

Mid 8's on radials is hardly a benchmark....those middle-of-the-pack times for the FFW/NMRA drag radial cars.

did you see the bottle on the drivers side? it looks like a N2O bottle to me, but with the stuff thoses guys have, im not sure. it looks like a CO2 on the pass side, maybe for the shifter or what not. like i said, not sure if its correct, but thats why im asking.

There is a bit of confusion about that bottle, I've heard that it's a fire system bottle, but Ronnie put nitrous stickers on it. I'm sure folks who saw the car at Thunder can comment.

Wow. let me say first that is fast. But there is something I like about the idea of a guy that builds, drives, and tunes his car himself.

Anyways keep up the good work. I have to so tell a few racers that said "a LSX car will never break into the low 9's" to kiss off.
