Default Questions about turbos (lots)

i just got all the motovation i needed to build my car now i just have a few questions about the setup.

on a forged bottom end is it better to go big iorn stroker or small-mid sized aluminum stroker or stock displacement?

i want twin torbos, what kit is the most practical and still has good street manners?

what is a good fuel system to use? i was thinking Accell or FAST

how much money am i looking to spend on a nice 900hp setup(i can do the fabing and installation) i would just need it retuned?

any other comments are welcome on this

thanks in advanced for al the help, Zac

The size of the motor is up to you really but for a 900+hp car iron would be a better coice IMHO. Right now there are no twin kits available but the tti race kit or the ls1speed eliminator kit can make the power no problem. For the standalone they all have ups and downs but it looks like the best route right now is the Big Stuff 3 system. As for how much $ well it depends. Dont expect to spend less than 20k for a complete setup from front to back.

GOOD LUCK on your quest on making a 900+hp car streetable

If your really looking to hit 900 or greater WHP you might want to look at my setup, I don't know how much of a "street" car you want, but I will drive mine on the streets and it is a twin turbo monster.

Here is a pic of what I have going on http://mtg.homeunix.com/ls1/TurboIns...5/IMG_0517.JPG

Also F.A.S.T, Gen7 and BigStuff3 are not just fuel managers, they are complete PCM replacements that can drive your coil packs, injectors and do all your tuning via a laptop, these controller boxes range from $1000 to $3000 and fairly nice to have, but not really necessary in most cases.

When you say you can do all the fabbing, that leads me to believe you might have a nice welder, and other machines you need to fab hot pipes? If you can do that, then your cost drops a bit, but your still going to be into a project like this over 10 grand, including my bottom end I am going to be pushing 20 by the time I see the track.

Agrees w/ term. We can make a dual kit like terms, just need your car for 2-3 months and 8k

Doesnt sound so fun now huh.. Seriously, Call Izzo at Speed...good to deal with!

your best bet would be the speed inc elimator or turbotech race kit, those are the only production kits that could approach that level, unless you want to do 600rwhp, then most of the kits out there can do that.
it aint gonna be cheap though

i dont necessarly want cheap but i am on a budget, i dont want to scrafice somthing done right just because i dont have the money, ill just wait and save longer

i think i want to go with a 6.0 iorn block 408 with the Speed Inc kit, i may just stick with the stock computer for now and have bigger injectors then upgrade later

another issue is this is my daily driver so i have to have somthing that can take me back and forth to school every morning
