Default electric oil pump

Has anybody ever used some kind of electric oil pump to supply the oil to the turbo or turbos?

I used a Mocal on my truck, which died (pos), and now I am using a Westech with great results.

Why would you use one to supply the oil? Easy enough to find a pressurized source isn't it?

Use the engine oiling by tapping into the plate above the oil filter. Do a search, it's been discussed 100's of times.

Depending on turbo location, you may need an electric or mechanical pump to move the oil from the turbo output back to the oil pan.

Also See the faq which is stickied here:

Where can I tap and return oil on the LS1?
There is a number of places you can tap and return oil on the LS1, here are a few of them.

Tap Locations:
Above the oil filter, there is a blockoff plate that you can get filtered pressurized oil from.

Weldon pump makes some nice pumps specifically for pumping hot oil. I have used the 9200A and have no complaints.
