If you can build boost off the line and drop your 60' to at least a high 1.9 you'll drop about 8 10ths off your ET. That should put ya around a mid 11. The MPH is good enough for a low 11 realistically. Even better with a drag oriented car.
If I don't spool mine off the line I get 2.1 60's or so. If I do spool it up my 60' drops to a 1.80.. Pretty big difference

Thats very impressive. Get rid of the stock tires, and youl be in 11's. Get it tuned, and youl gain a little more. Now I am considering getting a STS instead of a different head/cam combo than I currently have. The one thing that I dont like about it, is how will the exaust sound? I saw that one video of a LT1 STS car, and it sounded raspy.

I don't have any sound clips of an F-body but this is what it sounds lik eon my truck with the same turbo the F-body guys use (GT67 .81 A/R). No cats, stock 6.0L heads, 5.3L, 226/220 cam, stock exhaust piping and no muffler.
The screeching noise is my front tires slightly spinning.

If you do a search for the STS GTO that Don put together you can hear it pretty well too. Cleaner sounding than mine.

We only laugh at newbs after they are told how to do it correctly or if they are cocky.. In person most of us would teach you proper track etiquette so you do it right.

Its gonna be hard for him to build boost off the line since he doesnt have an auto. I dont know if a 2-step would even build boost correctly sitting on the line with a rear mounted turbo....anyone try it?

You have any exhaust leaks? Cause i can tell you my car is a slow *** now because of all the exhuast leaks working on getting everything fixed though. You can deffinitly notice a change if your exhaust is sealed up real good. When i first got mine back after the kit was installed WOW it was insane...then it just got slower and slower as the leaks got worse if i floor it in 1st gear it wont even peel out like it used to and i even had stickier tires on before and it would still break loose . Working on everything though about to get a new job and make some good money so gonna fix up everything real nice and add a healthy 408 engine to the setup

So basically you're saying your car is slower than a guy in a 5000lb truck? Sic him F8L.

Something is a little fishy on this one, that's all I am saying.

I did tell the whole story, but did forget to mention the LS6 valve springs and hardened pushrods. The 12.7@114.5mph was weeks after the track rental at LVD, up at NED (fastest LVD time was 13.00, fastest mph was 111.38mph) In which I installed the springs and pushrods to exclude the float from the cars excuses. Doesn't really matter now, since it has a FMIC and 8psi! Just need some better weather I suppose!!!

What ever you guys do, don't add a STS kit to your car... It will slow down! Especially the 60 foots.
Dude, you must be pretty clueless to think that adding a turbo kit will slow down your 60 ft unless it's just from wheel spin. Boost 200ft out? thats a joke. If you launch correctly in a stick your in boost well before th 60' mark, all it takes is traction from good tires. A stock stall won't build much boost either.
You have to realize that not everybody is a hard core drag racer and doesn't care about ET's. ET's don't me very much to me, I care more about MPH than the ET. If I want good ET's i'd put a th400 in my car but then it wouldn't be as much fun to drive every day.
I got a domestic supra and i'm proud of it.

EVERY one that has come out even on bigger motors and tight stalls, still do the same. Any more questions?
