This is what I was thinking. I can do this, I wonder how good it would work Let me get this straight before I go off buying things. Basic catch , run the hoses from each valve cover into a T then run it to the catch can. Drill a hole big enuff on the top of the catch can and put a breather. Is that what you are saying ? I know I will have to plug off the intake, but thats not a big deal.

That sounds logical, What about this...
Metco breather on Oil cap
Manifold PCV plugged
PCV on back of driver and passenger side vented into the downpipe with check valves
That way... The oil cap just serves for the fresh air source, while the valve covers can vent all the excess oil and crap while the check valves keep the exhaust gas from coming back into the covers...
If this is a stupid idea I hope someone corrects me.

Sorry, I am not a store, just someone who buys from stores.
The problem I had before when I tried to rig stuff up was that I did not have (a) fittings that the valve covers and (b) hose that fit both the catchcans and the covers.

Well I have the Steffs oil beather tank and I think I will run two 1/2" lines to it. I think this is the very best way to do it. I would like to run a small line of the bottom of the catch can to the (pan).
Anyone know how I can run the oil in the catch can back to the motor?

This is a temporary setup I'm running on my built blown mustang engine. This is a very cheap but good alternative to a catch can. It is a air/oil seperator that you can buy at Home Depot. This one is a pretty big one called a Husky. It has a in and out line and works very nicely. Currently you can see that I connected it next to my power sterring resivoir. Cost about 20 bucks. I use them on both sides and have eliminated my pcv system completly. I had to have my tune messaged for no pcvs. I have mine just venting to the atmosphere, but You could easily send this line to the Mr. Gasket exhaust crank vent. Actually I'll probably do the Mr. Gasket setup by this spring.

where can i get the "bungs" to go into the valve covers like on the above mustang pics. so all i need is a line that goes from valve cover then t's into the other then just goes to a can? seems pretty simple. what am i missing?

well I had just used a 1" long piece of rubber tube (stock size I.D) pushed it onto the port on the valve cover then pushed the huge rubber tube over it. Very tight fit. Could ziptie it if you wanted.
