Exclamation Remove MAF Screen?

Is this recommended for a supercharged car?

IMO, if you're using a MAF sensor, than there is no good reason to modify a stock screened sensor.

I had bad luck after removing my screen, I would not recomend doing it.

Last thing you wanna do is mess w/ the PCM's source of info for fueling and advance when boosting.

Do yourself a favor and leave it alone. Less to worry about when tuning

Anyone have a STOCK unscreened MAF they'd be willing to part with? I have a unscreened ported MAF that is gonna be in the garbage soon.

Which MAF should I get if I want a larger diameter one (85mm)?

I have been contimplating this to, I would love to know. It seems like in the higher HP FI cars with an emphasis on larger TB's, ported intakes, etc., the stock screened MAF would be significantly restricting airflow and the potential of these parts. In my experiences with Mustangs They had several MAF's to work with FI and NA cars that were much better then stock (ie. lightning MAF, C&L, etc.)

Wouldn't there be a significant increase in power by upgrading the stock screened MAF?

Not if it's run on the pressure side. We've made around 850rwhp through a stock screened MAF sensor fwiw.
