I'd go 12 rib before I would go cog. Seems like decel with cogs is tricky to make work.

Its still chewing belts. I just want it to stop. I dont mind the smell of Diesel in the morning.

Ill be in Chicago with my car for one of the late summer RSDs

Meaning on decel the Cog pulleys Eat the belts and destroy them...... meaning John would look at a 12 rib setup instead of eating Cog belts on every pass...... and cog belts are very hard and unforgiving on the crank..... something to do with the vibration and the no slip... it hurts the head unit in the log run also....
