Default How much power to go 150 MPH?

What do you need to be putting to the wheels to go 150 mph in a six speed car in the 1/4? With a little weight taken out of it?

Around 850-900rwhp, at 3600-3700 lbs and a 6spd will give you 150mph.

Jay Leno and Tony Stewart had the 2002 special edition Trans Am, at Daytona I believe and had the car up to 155, in one two times around the track, so what ever that distance was.

Ok sure. Would you like to buy me a F1R head unit, AFR 225cc heads and a set of COG pulleys. I would be happy to.

That is exactly what I am looking to do in my 1997 LT1 T/A. 150mph with a 6-speed.

Just got the car back from Speed Inc. not long ago, going to install individual coil packs and a crank trigger and take it back to Speed Inc. for some more tuning.

FWIW, if you are planning to use LS1 coils with an edist, they will probably not meet your goals. (as dwell time is not adjustable with that system as it is with BS3)

An opti, MSD Digital 6 and a stock coil will meet your goals. (personally I will be trying MSD's cap and rotor as well).
