Default Big FI cam

What do u guys think about this cam, to be run with 918's and hardened 7.35 pushrods and stock lq9 heads on an otherwise stock ls1 motor.

234\239 .598"\.612 115 lsa

I will be running a procharger set up with custom front mount intercooler and at around 8psi

What do u guys think? Will it be okay, or is the cam to big?

I cant wait to get all this on my car......

first of all the comp 918's springs are rated at .600 lift. And can go to 610 but if you go to 612 you will break a sping in a week easy.

i'm in the process of installing a similar custom cam in my car with more duration on the exhaust and on a 115. hopefully i will get some good results with it. 918's should not be used with that cam, i'm using patriot golds with my setup. why are you going with the 7.350 rod 7.400 is ok with that cam and stock heads and shortblock.

you will kill the spring in a week. And then you'll have lots of valve float and make squat for power or worst, bend a valve depending on spring pressure.

That looks like a good cam, I really wish I knew more about F/I cam selection, I'm looking for a turbo cam right now for my 408

wow not true. ideally i wouldnt put 918 springs with that big of a lift but it has a lot to do with the lobe's aggressiveness. i would go with crane dual springs. but it would explode and die like blue99 said lol

I ran the Crane 893's with a 230/236//595/598 cam. I would not use 918's.
