How Important is Power In your DD?

Would you sacrifice your AC to put a t-76 in a Vette?

No way, not in a southern state. Why bother when you can make big power and keep it?

nitrous and more cubes and keep the A/C in your case. Ultimatly you need to do what will make you happy, not me.

I'd dump it. I never use the A/C here and I'm in Alabama. Less weight to carry. I plan on removing mine this summer.

I live in Florida and barely run the A/C.
I'm sure you can deal with it.

Roll the windows down.

Why should you sacrifice it when you don't need to sacrifice it? You can build a T76 for there that doesn't need to get rid of A/C.

I still have P/S, A/C, big stereo, full interior, lots of sound deadening, and comfy seats in both my cars. I wouldn't have it any other way.

For driving around a lot I would keep the A/C. If it was strictly a toy... maybe. Cars get hot here in the summer... not nearly as humid as the south, and east coast, but the sun gets it real hot inside. I wouldn't dump my A/C for anything. IMHO I think it's even cooler when you can run 10s, then cruise home running the A/C listening to your stereo in a full weight car While some other guys is sweating in his stripped out track car,

Keep it on DD. Say you want to take a girl out to dinner in the car.... in August? Nothing says sexy like B.O.

I live in MT so I don't really need it but I know it can get pretty damn hot in the southern states.

Is there really no other way to fit a T-76 in that thing?

I believe any car that can have A/C should, especially since a vette is considered a luxury sports car. It's a nice comfort incase you get stuck in traffic or you have someone with you that would not like having a ton of wind blowing in their hair or face. I plan on going for 1000rwhp (for a dyno run or two) and am going to retain everything in their stock locations too! I don't use A/C a lot but it's nice to know it's there when i want it. Keep your A/C. OR ELSE!

you obviously havent been to texas in the middle of july or august. anywhere else it would be alright to not have any a/c. but here, i think it is a must.... But it is your car, do what you will............................

Power is important but I'm not ditching the AC on my daily driver, a 1992 Stealth R/T TT. I live on the Outer Banks of NC and it's around 90 degrees just about every day in the Summer and close to 100 on a few rare days. I do plan on putting down between 450-500 horsepower to the wheels and keep the AC though. My other Stealth R/T TT, a 93 model is strictly AC, radio, exhaust system, rear seats and everything else delete that doesn't make the car faster. Same with my 2000 Camaro SS. So you see, I'm willing to sacrifice a lot for power, just not on my daily driver. Keep the AC on your daily driver if you live in the South or you may end up regretting it. Just my opinion.

No way I would ditch the a/c on a daily driver. Hell, sometimes the staging lanes at the track take so damn long it's nice to have the air on. Of course, I get stuck driving to Laredo often, and I don't care how fast you drive it is still hot. You feel like your in an oven even on the interstate with the windows down when it's 115 outside.
