Default Please!!!

Come on guys, this is ridicules. I have to say something here. I keep reading these threads about this and it just blows my mind Somebody actually stealing a turbo off your car? Think about it. The number for people who actually know what it is, what its value is, and even where to sell it are very small. Ya, it doesn't seem that way hear, cuz we all now those thing, but we are a small group of people that come to gather via the internet. Spread us out over the whole country and then factor in the number of people here that are dishonest enough to actually steal and the odds of a turbo being stolen off you ride are EXTREMELY low. I've never heard of anything like that happening. I would thing the you are at least 20 times more likely to have your wheels, stereo, heck, the WHOLE car stolen!

I'm not saying it couldn't happen, but think about this guys!

I think it's highly unlikely... it would be a mean joke to play on a buddy though...

Back in the day... my dad told me how someone stole his 4 speed transmission out of his 57' chevy. He got in the car, and there was no shifter there he said it was only a couple of bolts and the bitch would come right out.

Wouldn't you pissed?!

Just leave your car in reverse whenever you park it. Then, if your alarm senses a shock to that part of the car, it remote starts it and rolls over ther person under the car trying to take it.

i think it would be possible to steal, but highly unlikely. like said above, the average low-life isnt going to know where that turbo is, or even what it is. i think if it was stolen it would have to be from a car enthusist type, that would know what they are taking. so if thats the case, it would definately have to be a mustang person

Not that I condone theft of anything, I'd kill a dude if I saw him ****** with another persons car... but that's the second thing I thought of when I first saw this layout and that's the usually the last straw so to speak when I'm talking to someone about the kit. I always mention the easy access to remove of the turbo. Hmmm... 4 bolts to the turbo, oil feed/returns and outlet clamp and I got me a turbo. Probably can be removed in 5 min or less.... I could at least steal a dudes air filter in 30 sec or less. lol. But again, the only option you would have would to have some sort of bike lock on the turbo housing. lol.

Ahh, the return of the stolen turbo post!
This post is so lame guys. No STS turbo has ever been stolen off a car so don't worry about it.
Although, I'm sure there are people out there in those types of neighborhoods that do need to worry about it. If you are one of those people then don't buy a kit. Heck, sell your Fbody and buy the ugliest beater you can find so you don't get shot when somebody steals your car at gun point.

Itd be quicker to just take the whole damn car. Not to mention no evidence is left (fingerprints and hairs) if you take the whole thing.

Car thieves need their nuts cut off so they wont reproduce.

I think this thread is rediculous...

If someone really wanted to spend the time to jack up my truck and take a sawzall to the damn thing to get my turbo, then let them.

For one thing, if someone is going to go out of there way to take a friggin sawzall to your car, then they might as well take a baseball bat to the window instead and take the whole truck.

And for another thing, most jacks won't fit under my freamrail, so once they got there with their jack in hand, they would be SOL and wish they would have brought the bat and flathead screwdriver instead
