OK guys, I have a delema,
I have enough money to do only one of three things. I have a iron block 6.0L and an eagle 4"crank. I can either finish the engine and FI it next year, or work on the engine threw the year and go ahead with some sort of FI. Which way should I go right now? My 5.7 is original with 64000 miles on it. It has had a good mix of passes and driving miles. I bought the car to play and it has done that. I have no problems at this time with the engine. I am replacing the trans though.
I do have a wet kit on it right now but that is pretty much useless unless I am at the track. I want to go FI and drop the wet kit. So please vote and let me know why you think I should do what ever.

if you build the 408 for boost, it's not gonna be ideal for the bottle. mostly the CR, but the pieces should be ok. Now if you build it for the bottle, it will definately need some low CR pistons and a different cam when you boost it.
A turbo kit sized for a 5.7 might not be ideal on the 408 when the time comes. Depends on what you want to do with it in the future.

build a turbo kit to work just right with the 408 you plan to build, bolt it up on the 346 and keep the boost down, then do your motor work durring the year and when you get it done crank the boost up and tune it all to work just right together
id say thats the way to go as long as you dont mind waiting so long to turn the boost up and as long as you dont think you will change your mind half way through your engine build and build like a 427+ or stock displacement
