STS owners please answer Question.
I like the price of the STS kit compared to other turbo kits. I am debating between this kit and a procharger ATI D-1SC kit. I just can not make up my stinking mind!!
F8L Z71 is also a wealth of info on the STS kit. They look to be real nice and put down some great numbers.

I secon what Untouchable said. I started with a GT67 + meth on a stock 6.0L 10:1 block -- made 580rwtq mas o minus (logged number).
No discernable lag with that set up. With the new setup (408, FMIC, meth, GT70) all I can say is "What's lag?"
Just got my STS turbo put on my stock WS6 by the texas rear turbo guys, www.TRTturbo.com and I am loving it. It has great power, and hearing the turbo is so awesome. But even more awesome than the kit itself are the TRTturbo guys. They really go the extra 5 miles. I HIGHLY recommend having them do you kit. They treat your car like it was there own and put alot of pride into there work. Also if you are intrested in some custom tricks with the system they have some great ideas (see there website with the pics of plexiglass in the trunk so you can see the turbo)
You will be very happy with the system especially if you have the TRTturbo guys help you out with it.

STS claims boost up to 15psi on the stock kit. It uses a 60:1 A/R compressor which is a nice balance for daily driven vehicles when using a boost controller to dial things up for instant performance. Try that with a SC.
Lag is a fact of life, especially when going with a larger compressor. The ATI model is a centrifical SC and is actually very similar as far as lag goes compared to a screw type SC ( instant low end boost ). I found the lag useful when the weather was crappy outside in my 2wd truck.
Turbo will grow better over time if you want to up the performance.
I am getting the trans fixed Monday, it is going to cost me $2500. My trans man said there will not be hardly any factory stuff left in it. But he does not thinl it will hold reliably any more the 550 hp. So I guess thats were my power has to stop. I looked into a 4L80E, but that will be another $1500 more just to get, and I have no idea what else it will cost. All mods start out one price and just seem to keep adding $$.
I will be glad just to get to drive the car again. Heck its been broke two weeks and I can not belive how bad I miss it!!

go with the turbo.
