turbo

I'm interested in a turbo system from sts but I got a stock 02 ramair m6 TA, my question is can I run a turbo on the stock engine or do I need to build up the engine. If so what should I do. I want it to remain driveable on the street and highway too. I'm looking for a set of heads, headers, cam too. Any ideas would be great.

I beleive the sts system works great for a stock motor as long as you dont try and force 9+ pounds of boost. If you want to build your engine up you'll need low compression pistons, and forged internals. I would look around and see what some other people are doing to their bottom end and do the same. See sig, those numbers are on a completely stock motor, and the car drives as if it was stock, until you get into it of course!

Why 6.0 heads? Does it lower the comp?

As long as you don't run much over 8 lbs, all you'll need will be bigger injectors, a tune, and maybe a fuel pump.

Where did you get them from? Do they flow the same as stock LS1's?
