Question question for STS people

i have coated longtubes for about four years now and the ceramic has been flaking abit in some areas on the outside and so im sure their must be some flaking going on in the inside as well.
what would happen if some\one of those flakes come loose and was injested by the turbo impeler? wouldnt it cause some damage? has this occured to anyone at all?
i am seriously considering instaling an STS system b4 summer and have been dwelling on this one issue. i think im going to buy some stainless headers & y-pipe to replace my ceramic coated ones to make sure this problem doesnt have a chance to rear is ugly head.
ive also heard that stainless steal has better thermal dynamics than ceramic coated mild steel tubing and this might help to keap the exghaust temps higher going from the motor upfront to the turbo in the rear.

I would definately replace the headers. It could damage the turbo. If that were to happen it wouldn't be warrantied. You could replace the headers or put the manifolds back on.

I never had Stainless Hookers. I can tell ay this. If the hookers fit the same way the original COated Version Hookers did - DO NOT WAST YOUR MONEY! the Kooks fitment was SOOOOO much better its not even Funny!!!!! They were better made as well - IMHO.

i cant really speak for the other guys with the headers and the STS kit, dont know if these guys have the kit on as well as the headers, if so i want to know how they got around the clearence issue, i at first just powerdercoated my stock manifolds and put them back on, then to get a little more air, i put on some mid length, it rubs sometimes if i go over a speed bump to fast, but yeah, i would just put the the stockers back on...give em a coat of some high temp paint

wouldnt i be losing power by putting my manifolds back on, or does the turbo not respond to headers as well as N\A cars do.?

red91z - My Jet hot's (copy of hookers) Rubbed and scraped. Did not fit well. My Kooks Don't hit or scrape or rub on anything,. They are designed differently and Fit MUCH better!

I have Long tubes and STS kit and IT fits great!
