Default Need some cam suggestions

Here are the basics

348
AFR 225 heads (Comp 921's, hollow intake valves)
LS6 intake for now (Might go LSx 90mm later)
Stock TB for now (Might go LSx 90mm later)
1 7/8 forward facing headers
T101 Turbo
4-5" down pipe to dual 3" boost actuated cut outs (More than likely set to 10psi).

M6
Ford 9" with 3.50 gear ratio
26.5" tire on the street and road racing, 28" tall for drag racing

aprox 3200-3300 lbs

Don't really want to spin the motor past 72-7300 rpm being hydraulic.

I would recommend calling Comp, Lunati or one of those company's give them your spec, But I would not recommend any of the LSX intake or throtle body stuff, Seems to be to many issue's with their product I would research, some of the threads and then make a choice. My first intake was warped sent back, then throtle body spring broke then bearing problem.

Just curious why you want to run a 101 and a 6-speed?

You'll have 1800+hp potential, and lag for days.

(If you don't want to turn past 7,200, you might have full boost a few hundred rpm before redline)

I understand the potential lag issues with the T101 and 6 speed. I could be wrong here but I think I'll be getting full boost before 7k RPM. I'm thinking it should have full boost by 4500-5k.

The T101 will be used for drag racing and open road racing (Top speed events). I am also going to be setting it up so I can swap out the T101 and run a much smaller T66 for road coarses.

This car isn't just going straight. But when it does, I want it running real hard.

Man, I just want to know where people keep getting these full boost #'s from?? With a T101 and a 6spd, try around 6000-6500rpms for peak torque (full boost).

Yeah, a 76GTS will hit peak torque at 4000-4200 rpms. The T101 makes the 76GTS look like a nothing more then a baby T3...hehe

That's what I'm almost thinking now..

A 91 probably isn't any better being based on the same frame??

The goal for this car is 1100-1200rwhp on a hydraulic 348. The turbo is not bought just yet. So let's change this to cam and turbo suggestions.

If you want that much power and still spool fast your going to have to use a Y2K-88 BB unit. It spooled 1000rpm quicker on a Supra then a GT47-88 did. So on the larger cubes, probably 500-600rpms quicker and that will get you 1100rwhp or so.

Innovative GTB98. Perfect for smaller cube motor (Such as a 348). It won't be to lagy considering its power potential. It will support 1900+ FWHP. It's not very expensive either.

What power level are you shooting for?

I'm spinning my supercharged 348ci up to 7100 and it's all hydraulic. I can probably spin it up to 7300.

John, I'm going for 1100-1200rwhp.

I think the motor should be ok spining to 7300-7400 after talking to Tony @ AFR. Thats why I did the upgrades springs and hollow valves.
