Default Fast VS LS6 - Turbo Application

I've seen alot of this discussed in separate threads, but I'm not sure what the concrete numbers have been. I know there has been as much as 1300-1400 horsepower made with the LS6 Intake, and a hydraulic cam.

My main question is.. now has come the time to decide which Intake I will need in order to top off my motor. I am on a slight budget, but nothing crazy. If its worth it horsepower wise, I would like to upgrade.

How much gain has any person seen from the swap in a turbo application? I know that typically when you loose restriction in this case you make the same power at a lower boost, but I want to know.. at the complete max you could run your setup at 1 particular type of fuel on an equivalently safe tune.. what did you gain in peak power... midrange power.. as well as torque.

Basically.. is this $400-$600 (after selling ls6 intake) better off saved?

Thanks,
Josh

I dont think there are too many people that have done back to back comparisons with the fast vs ls6, however there are plenty of people making great power with the ls6 manifold. I'd save your money and put it somewhere else in your project. good luck.

That is very close to my goal.. although on a dynojet through a th400.. I'd be happy with anything north of 700rwhp.. This is on a mix, likely. Thanks for the advice.. I think I'll just spend the money elsewhere and spend the money when its more readily available.

Peace,
Josh

ive heard there might be problems with the fast's 3 peice design under high boost levels...anyways thats designed for the natural flow of air to find its way to the cylinders better, when youre forcing it in, it wont really have a problem finding its way through.

Better to go with the LS2 intake and Nick Williams 90mm TB. Cheaper and better FI results.
