Thanks Mark I hope it runs alright...its all on me now.

Stoleit, IC pipes are a breeze, did my last set up in about 5 hours to get all the pipes cut and routed and welded last time around. Good thing about being on my third FI set up, things like this get easier and easier. The routing for my IC pipes will be similar to my old set up, but with a few differences.

Quick question, I have a 12psi spring in the wastegate, about how high can I push that too? 20psi maybe? Or is 12 psi max for that spring...I do have a turbosmart boost controller if that means anything...turbos are a lot of springs and funny clamps and ****

I have the same turbo as you I believe here at the house. It's big and heavy. Let me know bout the clamp. I was told that most people have it machined and people just use a cuppler on it. Let me know where you got your and what it cost and I might go that route. Which gt42 is it?

Around 24 psi. I was told that usually you can get double what you waste gate spring is.

Hellraiser....Cool, thats more than enough for me. I'll stick to 15-18psi max.

Blue, I got my flange and clamp set up from precision turbo and engine. They have em specially made for the GT42. Its a nice set up. It consists of a machined aluminum flange with an o ring and a v band clamp. You have to get the aluminum flange tigged to your IC pipe...well I do, I don't have a tig.....yet Oh yeah its 85 bucks

I think John told me that my GT42 has the bigger exhaust wheel or something like that...I'm still a lil clueless when it comes to turbo terms...John said it was a tad bigger than the regular one they send out with the kits.

Wonder why that is? The bigger exhaust wheel that is. Did you ask for it or did they just do it? Hey can you post up a pic of that clamp and flange setup for me?

I know you aren't supposed to run more than double what the spring is, but I've been running 20psi with a 5psi spring and haven't seen any problems yet. I will probably look to upgrade soon though.

Aluminum tig'ed to stainless....I don't know I do have a straight 3.0 piece of aluminum IC tubing and a 3.0 90 deg bend in aluminum too, so I'm covered either way.

I'll ask the guy who does my tig welding for me.

Yep 85 for those lil bitty parts....they used colgate on me not vasoline..when I bought it
