Stock sound, stock stock stock
Heads Cam, N2O as stated by the wise KP. Why go through all the bother of FI if shooting for a nice 550...N2O can do that for you with minimal investment. Car stays cool, A/C still blows cool, and you don't have to hack the car.

He already has a Heads/Cam SS, why would he want to have 2 cars that are virtually the same?

Turbos are so much more fun that nitrous, and a lot more fun than centrifugals on the street too. A phamspeed kit with a PT67-GTQ will provide quick spool and reach your goals with ease. No dealing with blower belts, easy to change boost levels, and much more low/mid range power are great.

I'm obviously a little bias towards turbos... my kit kept all the accessories, but as you can tell it sounds no where near stock, and I had to open up the bumper to let air to the intercooler. If you really wanted to keep stock sound, I would disregard turbo setups and run a centrifugal... They are noticable at idle, but that's about it. I think its the quietest forced induction rig you can run. If sound wasn't an issue, I'd be all over a turbo setup. There are so many factors that makes me feel that way.

i say phamspeed. have heard nothing but good things about it. u already have H/C and supercharged, so turbo is next. incon TT would be nice, but thats overkill for 500hp, and would probably need internals.

Have you considered twin gas powered Ryobi leaf blowers? I don't think anyone has done this. You could be the first. Maybe Ryobi would sponser the site.

Armageddon, what turbo kit did you hear that was loud? Mine is incredibly quiet. I have an SLP dual dual with a magnaflow muffler, and it is every bit as quiet as stock.

Nine Ball, to get 500rw out of a supercharger with stock internals, you will need headers, and a loud exhaust. I'm not sure what you mean by quiet, but, to me that will be loud. In my experience turbos are much quieter than a supercharger throughout the powerband.

Correct, I really hate loud and leaky exhausts. Loud exhausts turn a daily-driver into a piece of crap, been there done that. My '69 is very loud, but it also isn't a daily driver.

KP, heads/cam/nitrous is boring unless the bottle is on. I want 500+ rwhp at all times, not just after a bottle refill. Nitrous kits are good for drag racing, but I've had two systems on different street cars and I use the gas too much.

twin turbo allows you to run less boost with two fast spool up turbo's, which should net 500 easy and be easy on the bottom end. 7 lbs should do it.

Please don't go that route Tony.

Don't even consider getting another blower either. I know you won't. In fact, I think you had turbo on the brain prior to posting this. It's the only power adder you haven't done yet.

A properly sized and properly located single allows just as fast spool up and peak power potential as twins.

not trying to defend STS or anything like that but whats wrong w/ their rear mounts? Thought they were putting up good numbers like mid 400s w/ 5-6psi so if you ran 8-9psi wouldnt you get to 500rwhp assuming you have all the other usual bolt-ons...could be wrong though

1) Used Incon TT, will allow keeping a/c and stuff.

2) Custom twin or single kit. Most won't allow you to keep a/c and stuff.

When discoursing about twins vs. singles, and looking at 500-550rwhp, it's not that a single is "adequate" enough and that twins make things more complex. When looking at the world of possible turbo setups you will find that many folks overlook that some applications are not right for a given engine since it might not be efficient and lead to backpressure and heat issues.
