Opinions on Turbo setup

I posted oncz28.com as well as here. I just purchased a set of Pacesetter shorties to modify for my homemade front mount turbo 383LT1 project. The primaries are 1 5/8" with 2.5" outlets. They have 3/8" flanges and are mild steel. On many mustang sites guys are running 1200rwhp with 1 5/8" turbo kits. My question is do any of you think these headers may be ristricting? Most of you go 1 3/4" primaries. Anyone out there running 1 5/8"? Here are some specs of my buildup:

383 LT1
AFR210's ported by LE
Custom turbo cam
T76 Q trim (.81 A/R)
72# Injectors

I was hoping to hit 700rwhp on 12-15psi. Thanks.

Like I posted at the other board, we have Pro DR mustangs making over 1300rwhp using 1 5/8. Won't make a difference, if anything it will help with spool up.

Why is that Jose? Is it because of bernulli's principal that the velocity in an smaller diameter will flow faster to cary the same amount of volume, within limitations that is.

Sb same basic principals of mass flow apply with race systems. Actually they work better on race systems. He is the main reason, on the huge turbos that we run on the DR cars you need as much velocity as possible to get the quicker spool up. For example, a GT47 turbine side weighs 700grams (that doesn't include the compressor wheel). Basically you are trying to get a mass that weighs a little more then a piston to spin as soon as possible...hehe.
