They look great!!!!!

Maybe a Dumb question, but why do you use the short veritcal Air to air intercoolers? I was told that they are inefficent and tend to heat soak?? Whats your take on the horisantal(long tubes/core) vs vertical cores(shorter tube/core)?

Actually its opposite. Horizontal flow is less efficient (depending on endtank placement and design), but cheaper to manufacture, main reason why its the popular choice for all the manufatcures. Best design is bar and plate in vertical setup, BUT your endtanks in either setup should be setup where it uses the full core. Alot of designs like this for example...

Don't work well since you are only flowing the air through the bottom section of the IC.

Now a good setup is the like this one....

It uses the full core to cool the air. The technology in intercooler design is the most underrated part of a system. We design our system where they stay compact and use the full core, so you can use a smaller intercooler and still get the maximum cooling. To handle some of the kits we build, if we used a side to side flow like the one above on our Viper kit, we would need a HUGE intercooler the size of the front bumper...lol. So this IC was designed below by Greg Johns...

As you can see, that viper design once again forces the air to use the full core. That is the key...

The viper system is sweet but where ya gonna put the air filters? I like the front mounted turbo kit on the GTO any particular reason you went with twins rather than a single? Any preliminary numbers for the GTO kit yet?

GotmeSom, we have a custom built box that mounts to the scoop on the Vipers...its very trick

Twins on the GTO were needed since a large single was going to be to tight. Plus the GTO guys are wanting BB quick spooling turbos. Not many of them want top end monsters. So T3/T4 BB GT hybrids are going to be used. We do though have now T3/T4 T70's

John C, thanks, owning a few turbo cars help....lol
