Nice SS Todd. Do you drive this car??? on a road? Seriously, very nice look. What are you using to polish your ATI air box? Mine has a ton of little streaks in it. Would like to get that tight chromy look that you have.

Those pics are awesome!! It does make we wonder though, if the intercooler flaps hang down that far, i may not be able to lower the car like i want to.

I'd worry more about the piping. Those intercooler flaps are very flexible rubber. But the piping is far less flexible and that's where you should be watching.

The flaps don't hang any lower than the rubber air diverter that feeds the radiator. If you had to, you could always trim them, but shouldn't be necessary. Depends on how much you plan to lower it. I lowered my 2000 about 1 1/2" all the way around and didn't seem to scrape the diverter any more than usual. Just get in the habit of being careful pulling into and exiting sloped driveways....cross them at an angle when possible.

It is really hard to keep it nice. The metal they used to make it scratches as soon as you touch it. I have to buff it all the time. Coating it with Blue Magic Metal polish helps. I am going to experiment with Jewlers Rouge and a slow buffing process and see it that makes it even better.

Honestly I like showing the car. Some day it will be really sweet when I get some money saved. It has 10,300 miles on it now. It has even been in the rain a few times.

The plumbing is what to watch out for. It is above the air dam though.

Stock twin intercoolers on an F1/C5R combo? Yikes! Will be interested to see how far you can push those intercoolers.

Right again, Mike. Here's a relevant piece of information for you. I talked to ATI last week for some more accurate data on their D1SC kits. I was told the twin intercoolers only flow 1125 cfm. You can get more by applying more pressure, but you will also get more heat. The D1SC will flow up to 1400 cfm, so the twins are a restriction waiting to happen. The D1SC hits the 1125 cfm at 80% duty cycle. With a F1 you will hit it at 74%. So, you can run the same cfm with a lower duty cycle on the compressor. But if you are like most of us, you will want more. So with either head unit, you will need to be thinking of a way to either cool the intake charge, or suppress detonation, or both.
