Default New owner of Phamspeed and a bunch of changes

Well, I guess this announcement goes out to previous, current, and future Phamspeed customers.

As some of you know, Phamspeed has been run by myself and my brother James. This last couple months has been hell for both of us as we didn't know what we were getting into when we started. We never factored in customers. All we wanted to do was fabricate, not answer emails, calls, and post all day. But that's part of the business and we accept that. Last week James has called it quits and will no longer be a part of Phamspeed. This is his last month so people give him a friendly good bye.

As the only owner of Phamspeed, many things will change. The changes are effective May 1st.

1. We will no longer have the regular turbo kits with tubular manifolds available.

2. Budget kits will be a complete kit. Downpipe goes back to catback. FMIC will come with piping. This will be a complete kit, no fabricating required.

3. Prices of Budget kits will change

4. I will only take phone calls upon appointments. This is temporary until I find another employee. I'll be happy to answer pm's and emails

Other changes will be made but doesn't really concern the LS1 part of the company.

For people that have ordered a kit from us that have not recieved them, there are no changes to the kit or price. What we discussed as far as pricing will not change.

For people that have ordered a kit prior to 4-18-05: Any problems or warranty issues you have with your kits will be taken care of by myself and James, not through Phamspeed. We have split responsibilty strait in half to make things easier on us. You can contact Phamspeed though

I will not be taking new orders until further notice. Once we finish our backorders and James has left Phamspeed, I'll need a couple weeks to move things around and make jigs to produce completed kits. I figure I'll be all situated in about 3-4 weeks. New orders can be made, but I need to let you know there will be a month wait minimal

Thanks for your time guys and hope to be around for years to come. There are alot of things I'm coming out with but that can all be said on another post. Remember to give James a warm good bye. He's worked hard at building these kits. I'm sure he'll still be checking the boards when it comes time to turbocharge his LS1

Thats how it should be done. Most companys get in trouble because they get backed up but still keep taking orders and making promises.

Well it's sad to see james go but at the same time it's good to know phamspeed is swamped with work. John you seem to be doing the right thing so keep it up, work out all the little things and you will be in good shape. IF theres any thing I can do for you just let me know.

Glad I got my kit. Makes it that much better!

I have to ask this. Are you guys planning on going back to making the tubular manifold kits after you get squared away with new owner/partner, employees? Now this limits people to either your budget kit (which is great don't get me wrong) PTK tubular kits, TTi kits, or fab your own. I wish you all the best of luck, and James, where ever you're off to, happy endevours. I'm sure you'll still be getting swamped with work, so that only means that you'll need to expand and grow and hopefully add product line too.

Interesting that your dropping the single turbo kit from your line, IMO I thought that was your best kit....Oh well guess its too much work to build those manifolds with only 1 person

Funny that not too long ago you made a post about not getting any business and contemplating calling it quits, and now your overloaded with business and your halting production....lol

Be careful what you wish for, you might actually get it

1 question, what about those who have already ordered their kit, since your price has now changed and includes more can we pay the difference and the the FMIC piping and the rest of the DP to the cat back?

Well good luck with everything. I'm sure you'll be fine in the long run. Although since i still wanted the budget kit, option 2 still sounds pretty good .

I'm glad you did what was best for you. There's no point in being stressed out when you don't need to be. I'm assuming the twin kit is no longer available as well?

You gotta give it to them for at least trying to get caught up. It shows integrity. Good luck John, I will be watching the boards when I get closer to purchasing.
