Question What is your Static Compression and Boost PSI

Ok, I know the formulas for effective compression, and I know that most forced induction engines can see between 16:1 and 18:1 effective compression, and still daily drive on pump gas.

But trying to get a consensus on what people are running and actually seeing. I know the LS1's have a more efficient chamber design and that allows them to run higher engine compression then most other engines.

For example an LS1 will run on pump gas(93octane) N/A with 11.x:1 compression if tuned correctly, where as a lot of other engines would have problems daily driving on 11.x:1 compression.

I know the supercharger that Lingenfelter bolts on to the 10.5:1 Z06 engines run 9-10 psi boost, creating roughly 16.93:1-17.64:1 effective compression.

Basically what I am shooting for is a daily driver (run pump gas), that gets good gas mileage(high compression will help this), isn't a slouch before boost comes in (also high compression helps this), but then when under boost make some real power.

I am looking at a 8.5:1 w/ high psi, a 9:1 w/mid psi, and a 9.5:1 lower psi engines.

My question in short is:

1. What engine compression do you run?
2. What is your max boost level on 92-93 octane?
3. What climate (temperature) is the car in? (for detonation purposes)
4. Any detonation, and under what circumstances?
5. Intercooled?
6. Any special notes, or setup comments

I think this will not only help me, but also anyone else looking to see, what is "safe" and what runs. If we could all pool our experience in this thread I believe it could be valuable to a lot of people for their combos also!

Thanks for ya'lls cooperation! If there is anything I can do for anyone in return let me know. I have connection in many areas, from wholesale part, Factory parts, used parts, and performance parts, all the way to truck and SUV Conversion parts (convert your Yukon to an Escalade, type of stuff)

1. What engine compression do you run? 8-8.25:1

2. What is your max boost level on 92-93 octane? I would guess that I could run 15psi but I might go from my current timing (21 with C16) to something like 15-17 degrees.

3. What climate (temperature) is the car in? (for detonation purposes)
Chicago

4. Any detonation, and under what circumstances?
Hope not

5. Intercooled?
A2A front mount Griffin

6. Any special notes, or setup comments
-Supercharged
-21 psi currently with C16, 21 degrees of timing, conservative tune
