Default Progress on the Stenod Performance Twin build-up

We have made a lot of progress on the car this weekend. The cage is done and is 60% finish welded. We have all the hot sides done and have the wastegates mounted just below the turbos. There are some new pics on the website, but there are none with the wastegates in yet. I'll get some and throw them on later tonight. The block is back from the machine shop and we will probably be assembling it late next week or next weekend. It's starting to come along now!!

Check out the pics in the photo gallery...link is below

I can try to get some better pics, but there isn't much else to see but what's in those pics. There aren't any headers...we're using cast 5.3 truck manifolds...just flipped backwards.

Reverse truck manni's huh? I definitely didn't expect that but I'm that this setup will be a little crazy.

The trans is a Liberty Pro-shifted T-56. It is a stock trans with the exception of modifying the gears. They take out the synchros and cut out 3 of every 4 teeth on the gear. It just allows you quicker shifts and almost no mishifting (missed 1 time out of 200+).

We're hoping for 800+ rwhp with the truck manifolds. The twin T-60's will support 1300 fwhp, so we'll see what happens.

I'm hoping to have the car on the road by the end of next month. We're about ready to send the hot sides out for coating. The motor is back from the machine shop, hopefully we can assemble it this weekend. Waiting for the intercooler core, make some end tanks, then plum the intercooler pipes and inlet pipes. Get the engine bay and the cage painted and then put it back together

You guys do good work
Thanks!

This is one of the shop cars Joe and Kevin are building. The technology testbed if you will.

I bet we could file a flight plan over at Troy Airport and get some time on the runway.

Nope, all this has been mostly built by Kevin and Myself, harlan and derty have helped out a little bit . Harlan has done all the finish welding on the cage, and ive done all the finish welding on the exhaust piping. The engine is being machined by Best Machine up here and we will be doing the final assembly.

We have only been working on this car a little at a time, seeing that customer cars have to come first. other than that, hopefully we can be making test passes on this car late may early june.

we'll keep you informed

I saw your car while I was there a few weeks ago. It looked nice, I can't imagine what it looks like now.
