Ahhhh haaaaa! Much more respectable.

You've got a lot more than I do under the hood and I was able to knock one off, so I'm sure you mashed him real nice.

A tune for the 2005 Mustang GT's is worth a solid 10-15rwhp on premium fuel. I have seen 11 on a 87 octane tune.

A tune and CAI is worth 25-33rwhp depending on what CAI kit you go with.

There is a lot more to it than torque management... but that is not the nature of this thread

I dont buy into the 25-33rwhp numbers. The 05 GT I know gained a total 18rwhp/18rwtq with MAF filter mod, CAI, flowmaster muffler, and tune (that he tweaked on the dyno).

I will put my bets on you unless you are a totally inept driver . Considering that your numbers are pretty much the same you have a definite weight advantage. Hell, my big ole' 94 tbird is almost 100lbs. lighter than an 03-04 mustang!

Flowmaster mufflers are worse than stock, so that is a restriction there, not the smartest mod if power is your goal. note: pick a catback for those cars based on sound, the factory one is good, and won't gain much power with a change to a different catback.

I have tested the Steeda, C&L, MMR kits, on various 5 speed cars. to get those values. I don't sell any of the kits, so I have nothing to gain by false claims. I do have the dynosheets though.

Just curious who tuned the car, or what tuner was it? What kind of power ddi the car put down stock and tuned?

MOre than likely the kb cobra will pretty much own you at the track. He's going to make power much sooner than you and with the extra torque he has well...

Depends on his torque, I think out of the hole or a run from a low mph he will get the jump, however since you guys are making roughly the same power, I would guess that you will reel him in and put probably 1-2 car lengths on him due to the fact that your car is about 300lb's lighter than his and your aerodynamics are much better at higher speeds; the cobra has aerodynamics of a flying dumpster lol.

A thread with a bunch of idiots trying to talk about Cobras... The IRS question still hasn't been answered (or atleast I didn't see it) The wheel hop STOCK is bad enough, I'd hate to see what it's like with a Blowzilla... The only thing I see coming from this race is a couple blown rearends... I say you take him from a roll!
p.s. It's ridiculous to see how many people hate on KB cobras those fuggers are bad

Yes, indeed they are some badass cars. Even without a KB they're still badasses.
